I see a lot of hard work too! But if you're patient enough you should be successful. I think Aidan is saying to train them on long leads until you reach the point where they come on the long lead even when there are rabbits, without being pulled back In the meantime, with the long leads they can run...

what have you tried, and for how long? How long are they left alone? They are only very young and very tiny, so don't expect them to have full control of their bladders for quite some time. It is normal for them to have accidents inside. I hope that you are not punishing them for accidents inside - ...

oh Debbie, I feel for you! Are you in a situation where you can devote a lot of time to your dog, or do you work a lot? I have just been reading a bunch of training tips here: http://www.ddfl.org/tips.htm#dog and this specific one is on house training an adult dog - don't know if it will help or not...

one other thing - I'm not sure what your living situation is like - if you're in an apartment (i hope not with a jack russell! LOL) or if you have a garden that is yours or not.. something that I read when I was trying to teach bella to poop outside was when she did go inside, I took it outside and ...

hi Tricky. Do you have a backyard that you can leave him out in? He may just need longer to do his business. My dogs can sniff around for a good 15 minutes sometimes until they find a good spot to poop on! Another way to make them go in the mornings I've found is to take them for a walk - walking se...

I'm in SA, and I got mine from Woodville Pet Doctor, and they have them at The Spoilt Dog. Just call around to different vets in your area, and pet shops etc - hopefully someone has them (surely!) or can get them in I haven't heard of sporn training halter, but it looks very similar to a lupi. Maybe...

thanks for that advice Aidan! I have just ordered a clicker online actually, seconds before I read your post! And I will certainly try and do that , I've seen Victoria use the clicker on her show a few weeks ago and was intrigued. No, im in SA, unfortunately otherwise I could have joined your class!...

my dogs love chicken, but they REALLY love liver treats. http://www.connex.com.au/catalogue/petfood/liver-treats_head.html that's the brand that we use - and I only need to use the tiniest piece (for tiny dogs) I may have used the wrong terminology when describing Ted's reactions - because he's not ...

hi Tania, I'm in Australia too, and I picked up my lupi from our local vet! I also have seen it in pet supplies stores, and in our local designer dog shop/groomer/salon http://www.companyofanimals.co.uk/lupi.php - there is a size guide on there, the German Shepherd and Rottys are Large size. BUT I'd...

Science diet
hi, just wondering if Victoria, or anyone had any opinions on Science Diet? I've been feeding my pom x jack russel wet Science Diet since she was about 4 months old - originally mixed with dry science diet, but now mixed with beef mince and chicken, along with lucky dog kibble. I have read differing...

I just have to say a HUGE thank you to Victoria, for giving me the inspiration to follow my REAL dreams. I graduate as a reigstered nurse in less than 6 weeks, and for the last 2 years I have known that I didn't really WANT to be a nurse, but didnt know what i DID want to do. I met my partner in May...
