Ditto - we love our classes too. Everybody is falling in love with Horace and thinks its amazing that he knows sign language, despite them all using signs when they train anyway! And we're starting agility in April when the next course begins. Maybe we should have an agility board so we can keep eac...

Had a hairy moment today. We were walking somewhere new and I didn't have my long line so Horace was just on a normal lead. We met a stile, me over, him under, but I dropped the lead and couldn't quite catch it before he noticed, picked it up in his mouth and ran off in front! Not far, but he knew I...

Mattie, is she completely submerged in that, ie totally off weightbearing? If not you will get different results to complete swimming. I haven't come across the treadmill version before. And I haven't found a dog yet who will not swim when you put them in, you just have to find a way to make it enjo...

Hydrotherapy can work wonders in cases like this. Just make sure you use a good pool and start very slowly. It helps him to lose weight by giving him the chance for a good workout off weightbearing, builds up supporting muscles to help the joints and allows the joint to articulate without strain and...

Ok, I'll have to have a rethink then. Thanks for all the advice. We have definitely gone from big poo to small poo, 2x a day, but the first part of the poo is very dry, and the very last bit is quite soft and orange. This is just since dramatically reducing the wafcol - before that he had big poos b...

I am pretty sure it wasn't the act of putting out a hand that was the problem, as both people are people he has met and is happy with. He was very happy with both until he saw an arm with no hand. In this case, I don't think it was the people who did wrong, but the way Horace interpreted it. Both pe...

Ok, we have a new problem. Well, it's probably not new, but I've just noticed it. Horace is scared of sleeves. If someone (including me) has their sleeves pulled over their hands he either runs away (me) or hair goes up and he jumps up and growls (other people). Don't know whether the different reac...

Ok, got that straight then. So Horace should be ok with a diet of chicken, rice, veg, fish and the odd bit of cheese? We will investigate other meats soon, but I feel he is still settling in and getting used to any food which is not Wafcol, so I want to do it little by little. What are your opinions...
