I work for Petsmart and wouldnt feed any of the foods we sell... except Blue Buffalo if it went on sale. Just because someone, including a vet, says its good, doesnt mean it is. Read the ingredients.

My dogs are on a rotation diet. This can be done in a number of ways... finish a bag, buy something else. Rotate between meals or weeks. My dogs have about 4-5 different bags of kibble open at one time. They get a different one everyday. We also have a wide variety of canned food that gets mixed in....

Chicken Soup is a very good food for the price you pay. My cats used to eat the light formula and did lose weight and maintained a healthy weight. Their coats were nice and teeth healty, stools not too bad. I say go for it.

I would avoid Nutro like the plague. They were bought out by Mars (Pedigree) and have had nothing but recalls ever since. They are recalling cat food right now.

Blue Buffalo is a good food but totally overpriced for what it is. You can do better for cheaper.

What city/town do you live in? I can find foods in your area for you if you want. There are plenty of foods out there that dont cost an arm and a leg and are still good quality. And also when they eat a better food they eat less, so you are buying less. Brewers Rice - A processed rice product that i...

Also make sure whatever you are feeding him has a higher protein level. Not sure what he eats but if theres too many empty carbs he will feel hungry. He needs meat. :)

If you want him to slow down eating put a big rock in his bowl. He will have to eat around it. They also sell bowls that slow down his eating.

Also dont put just kibble in the kong. Maybe put some peanut butter mixed with kibble in there. Will make it harder for him to get out.
