In King County Washington one of the shelters is due to close here soon. The dogs currently there will be sent to other shelters around the area. Money is the big problem, with so many people out of work it's hard to get donations. My big concern is if people need to drive a longer distance to place...

I must agree that the e fence is not what I would do for the reason that another dog can come into your yard. I would put up a regular fence regardless of what it looks like, mine is made with horse fencing, not so pretty in the beginning but I planted things along it to hide it and it's really very...

I to am sorry this did not work out for you and good on you for realizing that it won't work. Some times people will take a dog anyway thinking that with time they can turn the dog around. A resuce dog is a wonderful idea. I wish you great luck in finding just the right dog and it will be a very luc...

I have to agree, put your coat close to your bed, put on your slippers and get them outside first. With the weather being cooler the grocery's can wait. so long as your covered up the neighbors won't care what you are wearing. I agree, having him pee in his crate is not something you want to become ...

When I have a breed I have never had before I get with a dog club for that breed to ask questions. They might be able to come up with some really good idea's to at least curb his herding of you. These are wonderful little/big dogs and I have had friends that would not have any other AND they herd, e...

I agree with Mattie on this, being angry is a waste of time and energy, your dogs are being dogs. The older one while being patient will get to the end of it and give the younger one a lesson. So long as no blood is drawn, leave them be. This is how dogs in the wild or most animals in the wild teach...

My 15 yr old mini schnauzer had his nose out of joint for the first couple weeks we had Maia but after that he found the benefit of her being around, PLAYING and extra high value treats. I would take just him on walks without her at least once a day alone and then both of them together. He got lots ...

Mine will do this also and I think that could be the reason as stated. You might want to give her something that she can have with your scent on it. Mine like to drag stuff into the back yard all the time, not a problem since they don't chew it up but my neighbor really hate to see my undies out the...

I agree about the bee's and at this time of year unless you live in a really warm area the bee's should not be out. AND unless they are ground hiving, it should not be a problem, it's a power, not a spray. And I also agree heartly that if you can't afford to care of an animal as they should be cared...
