help - my dog is having a meltdown !!!

shes 2 years old. reasonably well trained in recall, heel, stay all the basics. but she seems to have lost the plot over the last few days. attacking the cats, ripping up all the plants when left at home on her own all day in the garden, being totally hyperactive when we get home from work etc etc s...

She has undoubtedly discoverd that it is fun. It would be interesting to know if she goes for the plants before eating the kong (would give you a better idea if this is some frustrated behaviour or coping strategy towards you leaving if she does it first off, or boredom if she does it after eating ...

Over the last week she has started ripping up the plants when i am at work. Other...

wouldn't work I'm afraid. This is mountain biking where I go off jumps and across stunts and the likes. She would get tangled up and either hurt herself or me.

Good training books ?

What books would you recommend for reading on training of dogs ? I am currently reading dog training for dummies and am not that keen on the techniques of the authors - they recommend the use of soft choke chains and they also admit that prong collars are good for training as they are effective depi...

The dog saw them and for some reason took a d...
