Re: I'm fuming!

Thanks Clare. I'm not actually sure whether we come under German law or English law on this, that's something I need to find out but god only knows how I do that! Have a think about whether any of your credit cards/home insurance etc etc have free legal advice as part of the cover (often they do an...

Re: Difficult decisions

I was going to say that I'm pretty convinced that even if you didn't take Pup with you it wouldn't be long before you ended up with her. How fab is your boyfriend, gotta love a man that takes charge and sorts things out for the best. Horay for Mr Bendog :D

Re: I'm fuming!

Sarah, I am so, so sorry to hear this. I had a run in on Saturday with an "Off the lead, he only wants to say hello, my dogs should meet all dogs they see and so should yours" brigade with a lecture from the owner thrown in and I was upset and angry but that pales into insignificance compa...

Re: Poodle with Hip Dysplasia

Hi there, I have no experience of this either, hopefully someone else on the board will do. However there is a yahoo group (with some 900 members) called "Canine HD" who are focussed on HD in dogs (there may be others if you search). I have NO experience of this group but some of the yahoo...

To copy the M&S ads in the UK ... "This isn't just a bathrobe, this is a Jasper baby blue polka dot bathrobe". I can see a line in Jasper apparel Judy :D Ted could model the teeny equivalent!

Re: Promise not to laugh?

I was almost disappointed by this as when I saw the title I thought you'd thrown yourself in another lake or something

Oh how cute does he look? Love it, he seems relaxed in it too. He'll end up with his own clothing line at this rate :D

Re: hello from me and Cairo who has a growling problem. help!

Hello Claire, You'll get the best response if you post this in the training section. When you do please add a lot more detail (err on the side of too much!), include Cairo's daily routine (food, exercise, training etc), as much about his background as you know. In the mean time I can tell you that C...

Re: Harness suggestions

I know what you mean, however when I got the XS it was the only stepping one that had a chance of fitting ted so I had no choice. And I've always preferred harnesses to collars. If you send me pipers measurements I'll convert them for you (then you've got them rather than me converting the harness t...

Re: Harness suggestions

Suzette, Ted (now 4.5 lbs!) wears a small (he was originally in an XS). They are quite adjustable too. I would say the downside is I'm not sure how long they'll last if your dog goes through undergrowth, streams etc, not as long as a traditional harness I would guess, but I guess that's the price yo...

Re: Harness suggestions

I've had two of those for Ted (he grew out of the first) and they're great. He doesn't like stuff over his head either which is why I got that one. They're nice and soft and the large leg holes don't rub him, he's just worn one for a 8 hour (traffic nightmare should have been 3 hours) car journey an...

Re: Dog barks at people when we take a walk

Hopefully one of the trainers / more experienced handlers will be along to give you some advice soon re how to help your dog. To help them it would be really good if you could explain your dog's routine (when she gets up, goes out, how much walking, what she eats, what training you do etc etc). Also...
