Re: The ladydog and being on heat
Yes you'll probably notice her mature a lot. Also make sure to keep Laufey separate when she's in season as he could still mate and tie with her. You literally can't turn your back on them for a second, Charlie is neutered but managed to open the patio door and jump the baby gate to get to Poppy. Th...

Re: The ladydog and being on heat
Poor girl - at least this time I know exactly how she feels   We were planning to have her spayed this time round but I didn't want to do it so close to the baby being born because I thought one huge life change would be enough to cope with (I'm due in 3 weeks, which would tie in almost ex...

Re: The ladydog and being on heat
Poppy's last season started around the 22-24th Jan (can't remember exactly)
She's been very mopey the last week or two - and looks quite fat - would this tie in with a phantom pregnancy around now?

Oops! Thanks Lou, edited now. That other video was one I sent to my instructor coz it made me laugh!
(Just incase anyone is interested in seeing a heavily pregnant lady that IS me doing TKD then here you go: http://youtu.be/4xg5GC8tHWY - I make lots of mistakes though!)

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
I'm 36 and a half weeks pregnant now so only just over 3 weeks until the baby is due  We've been busy getting the house and dogs prepared - Moses baskets been up for weeks and we've played baby crying noises and carried dolls around and stuff to try to get the dogs used to it. However I haven...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
I do not know if dogs feel embarrassment which Sandy's behavior seems to indicate, but it is not what I would expect from a dog. Perhaps someone could answer that one. Not embarrassment, but safety. Poo-ing makes a dog very vulnerable because it stops them from being easily able to run away if some...

Re: Multiple Dog Homes
4 dogs (2 dogs, 2 bitches) the bitches have fought a few times over resources including bed/sofa so are not left together, both dogs fine together and fine with either of the bitches Of course there is always a slight risk with any dogs, but just comes down to knowing your dogs in my opinion. I know...

Re: Feeling guilty :(
Sash is back home already  And back to her normal grumpy, bossy, self too - we were told she might be groggy for a while but apparently not  Tough as old boots, that girl. We thought they'd keep her overnight but suspect she was kicking up a fuss  I was meeting a new client so i...

Feeling guilty :(
I am now feeling like absolute ****, Sasha is currently at the vets having emergency anaestethic to remove a lamb bone wedged in the top of her mouth. It's happened once or twice before with one of her side teeth and we've managed to dislodge it with the end of a spoon so we don't really give her la...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
I think the advert is actually for pedigree food! Winds me up coz it's clearly not good food at all! My OHs parents got a puppy at Christmas, I was (and am) furious since no way can they look after her properly. And I admit I've avoided meeting her properly, because it breaks my heart. Anyway, she's...

Re: Honey game video
Our version is a bit less calm! Sash goes for brute force, Charlie is actually quite gentle about it, Ben goes in for shredding stuff into the tiniest pieces possible, (which is a nightmare to clean up, thanks Ben!), and Pops is, well, Pops! I had to rescue her before she fell down the stairs at one...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2
I know you guys will understand my geekiness! Been trying to teach Pops "back up" (walk backwards) for AGES using a couple of different methods, but I've never been keen on using a lure or body pressure to teach it so was trying to get it by shaping mostly, anyway, she would offer a couple...

They say a picture says a 1000 words, but a picture can also lie  http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i460/BendogSash/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsi1uaj97b.jpg Here is my little demon dog merrily ignoring all the ducks and looking like butter wouldn't melt! You wouldn't believe that she had killed...

Re: Vent!
Dunno why I bother - put sash on a strictly controlled raw diet to try to manage her allergies, only for OH to leave a packet of biscuits on the windowsill and let Sash steal the lot
