Re: Raw Food Diet

What things could I be doing better or more cost efficiently, or how do I figure out how to adjust amounts downward and not end up with a dog that seems to be starving? Buy yourself a decent wooden block to chop on, a set of scales and a decent set of knives. Whole chickens are by far the cheapest....

Re: Dog being sick

Natures Diet has a reputation for sending out "off" batches of food. Whilst there actual food is of a good standard you often get batches with puffed up lids and a slightly odd smell that cause stomach upsets.

Re: In Praise of Natural Feeding

It;s a lack of muscle around the jaw that makes it difficult for dogs starting raw. Chewing through rmb's everyday develops allot of muscle on the top of the dogs head and around the lower jaw. Starting a dog on rmb's it can take along time for them to be physically able to bite through them. This c...

Re: Sleeping in the bed...

I wouldn't try to "wean" them off the bed. Its either allowed or isn't. Other wise they will check everyday to see if it's allowed or not and you'll take far longer getting the message through.

Re: Explaining Responsibility

I wonder if she could look after someone's dog fora day or two, to see what it's really like. This may or may not work though, as it doesn't bring home that those things like walking need to be done EVERY SINGLE DAY for ~15 years. Assuming two walks a say that's 10,950 walks (I've let the leap year...

Re: Boswellia

I reckon you may have heard of it Fundog, its also known as frankincense. If its fed with a fatty meal it will give a decent anti inflammatory effect for a few hours. But if your dog is on any other medication (herbal remedy) be careful as it can become toxic if mixed with ethanol (unlikely your dog...

Hehe, I'm gonna take my lab over the park with her boomer ball :) I'll take my camera and put a vid up in a bit to prove dogs can love them.

Re: How did you discover which breed was for you?

With that in mind, I think I would probably like to get a bítch... which flies in the face of all the advice here. Is it COMPLETELY inadvisable? If you manage the relationships of two bítches to the best of your ability, is it possible to avert any massive falling outs? I would hate to be in a posi...

Re: Avoiding people with ball chuckers

My wife is disabled and would have great difficulty without one. As a broad generalisation i'd say you where wrong. IMO most dog owners are fairly crap at understanding their dogs/enviroment but the fact they are outside , chucking balls with a dog off lead is still a step above some that I meet (ou...
