Re: Dog Barks at Other Dogs During Walk
I think you understand your dog pretty well . It sounds like he is barking from excitement and maybe frustration as he wants to meet the other dogs.

There is a book by David Ryan that has lots of advice

You could use a low vibration collar and pair it with a reward so it wouldnt be punishment .

I'm so sorry to hear this. You must be heartbroken.
You did the kindest thing and not let him suffer.
Sleep well Theo . You were very much loved.

I'm waiting to see if I get any response from him . ETA I dont recognise who he is ! I dont watch eastenders. I hope you open your account again later when this dies down otherwise the bullies win. There are loads of people who feel the same as you about the social media being used to sell dogs so y...

Re: is it responsible to sell a dog on twitter?
Are they allowed to sell dogs on Twitter ?
I just replied suggesting a breed rescue incase the dog ends up being used in fights.
You werent rude at all and you cared enough about his dog to say something. Can you report the threats to the police ot twitter
or dont they do anything.

Re: Dog attacks me when I Ieave the house?
If petting him before you leave the house is the trigger that makes him snap then perhaps you could just say goodbye to him instead of petting him.MsWater wrote:This morning (And a few times before) I was about the leave the house for school, nobody else was home and went to pet him and he snapped at me.

Re: Aggression towards another resident dog
This can be tricky because they are both bitches and also their ages, they are socially maturing and that can change the relationship between the two. It would be worth consulting a qualified behaviourist , if you are on the UK you can find one on these lists - Find an ASAB Certified Clinical Animal...

Re: Aggression towards another resident dog
Could you explain a bit more about the fighting . How do they start , are they fighting over anything in particular ? have they been hurt , any bites?
Are you sure it isnt rough play fighting?
i have a JRT and chi and they fight very roughly and noisily but it is play .

Re: OMG help! puppy problems
I second what Nettle says , you are a great puppy owner. It is hard work ! The advice about getting strangers is general advice that has been given by behaviourists including well known ones so I understand why you are trying this . I think though , you have to consider the individual dog and also p...
