I am no help I'm afraid, my little monster took off out of the park and up a street chasing some bikes today! She's never chased bikes before and thankfully the kids on them were well-mannered enough to turn around and come back for me! Back to a long line for a while methinks...

Can you put up a baby gate so the dog can't access the stairs?

Lots of much tastier things to chew, 'recreational' bones, half a cabbage, frozen carrot and the like

I taught 'stop' because I want my girl to do agility and I saw other people using it to stop the dog at the end of see-saw etc. I don't really know how I taught it though! I started it on-lead while walking I would say 'stop' and I would stop dead then my dog would stop too and look at me to see wha...

I don't think Teagan is much of a flyball dog. She's just not that interested in tennis balls. She will race full pelt to go and get it then gets distracted on her way back, and drops the ball to go and investigate.

Ah well, we both like agility better anyway!

baying

Teagan has started baying! It's such a strange sound, she has quite a deep loud bark for a small dog normally. I noticed it yesterday when she was playing with a bigger dog in the park - she was chasing the other dog round and round and kind of barking yipping. I had just thought she was telling him...

Sneezing

I've noticed Teagan sneezing a lot - all day yesterday and she's still at it this morning. She seems fine in herself, no dry nose or runny eyes or anything either. Being a beagle she does sneeze now and again after a good snuffle in the park, but this has gone on longer. Can't think of anything diff...

ooh nobody else does flyball? There is a competition on easter sunday we are going to watch, can't remember where it is - hope to be competing ourselves by July. Teagan not quite got the retrieve yet, she'll drop the ball somewhere near you rather than bringing it back, then wander off sniffing the ...

Keeping entire dogs and bitches together: needs an alert owner but it isn't too much of a headache. Several ways round it, depending on how many of each. I have a friend with several of each: the bitches live in the house and the dogs are kennelled. All get plenty of exercise and loving care, but t...
