I have the same rule. I don't think you're being unreasonable at all! And to be honest, the dogs understand this rule MUCH better than my husband! I don't allow anyone in my teeny tiny kitchen while I'm cooking.

Oooh Nettle! I was doing that too recently, until my husband finally thought to pull the bed out from the wall where we found a very, very old and moldy kong with (I think) peanut butter inside.

I'm sorry if you've already posted this somewhere and I missed it, but have you had her tested to see what exactly she is allergic to? I see you mention grass, but are there any food allergies?
