Eating *other* dogs' poo (not his own)

Is there a way to deal with this with a dog that eats only other dog's poo, like at the dog park? One of my puppies, Bailey, has started doing this. He is not the least bit interested in his own or his brother's, but at the dog park he is so interested he sticks his head under some dog's bums waitin...

Vass1974 : My cat doesn't like raw all that much. That's why she gets both raw and cooked meals. I've discovered that if I make up a batch of raw food and freeze that way, soaking it in a plastic bag in boiling water for 5 - 10 minutes cooks it enough so that she'll eat it. My cat also loves taurin...

Yes, I'm glad to hear it works too. I'd read that parsley aided digestion and cut down on wind especially in egg dishes, so I tend to put it in anything I make with eggs for the dogs. Glad to hear that it really does work at least in some cases. I'd been going on blind faith, heh.

Hi JT, Have you tried bag balm ? It's a formulation for keeping cow udders from cracking, but it's used on animals for all sorts of chapping and chafing. It may help if your dog doesn't try to lick it off the way mine did. I do agree with emmabeth that it may be a sign of something internal. My dog ...

Lol, I don't know what reactions others have, but I say awesome. Those are some pretty Dobermans. I love the pic of your little wolf in (pink) sheep's clothing. Sorry to hear you're having such trouble, can't say that I've experienced anything similar. I agree with the others though about doing what...

Iluvpaws listed some better quality brands in the first post of the thread. Have you tried any of those already?

I don't know about Life's Abundance, but Natural Balance has been having problems. They recalled their venison products during this spring's big pet food recall because of kidney failure reports. They recalled more products later this summer due to a botulism scare. ( source ) Edit: Eww, I just took...

I don't know which one VS used or how well this one works, but ScatMat is one that I've seen at a few pet stores near me. I've heard aversion training can be tricky though. Good luck.

Ok...thanks, emmabeth. Sorry for the confusion. I actually thought the mohair blend sweater was all acrylic. That's why it didn't occur to me immediately that this might be what was so exciting. I'm much more attached to the cotton fleece I normally throw over me as a barrier to puppy smells. But, t...

I hope Fly is ok. My old dog with kidney failure did this years ago. She ate about 100 grams of chocolate covered espresso beans that had been left out on the coffee table at my grandmother's funeral. My dog was bouncing off the walls the whole day and slept all of the next. The dog turned out ok an...

How sweet. No matter how much they love being in water, a bath just isn't the same, is it?
