Re: This empathy thing
Evee's very good at comforting me when I'm sad or ill. After my father's funeral, I was a wreck and couldn't stop crying, she just sat with her head on me, looking up with her brown eyes. It was comforting having her there for me. She'd normally be pawing at me for ignoring her and licking at me. Sh...

Re: Evee
Everyone keeps thinking she's Evee's puppy. o_o Evee was larger than that at 8 weeks
We're not entirely sure of a name yet. The only thing she comes to is Puppers and Martin. I keep calling out Martin out of habit So, she might just be another little Martin.

Re: Evee
Evee really is a gentle beast. ;) We've got a new dog, we've had her for a few weeks. A chihuahua/Pomeranian cross. She's already settled into the family. No real issues, except a tad yappy, but hushes when asked. She gets along incredibly with Evee, which is amazing, Evee's 50lbs and she's only 6lb...

Re: Evee
Thanks! She's so soft, too.
The rabbit came from an overwhelmed rabbit farm. He was filthy and covered in urine stains. He seems a lot less timid and friendly already. He's still skittish of hands unless you have food. He's more trusting of Evee than us.

Evee
We've had an interesting few days. Evee adopted a new friend. A bunny to be exact. It's so strange! She always barks at bunnies, but when she finally got near one, she bathed it. They greet each other so gently, she plays with him in the same gentle manner as a chihuahua. Still to be on the ...

Ari is truly brilliant! He doesn't take his eyes off the treat-cup! I'm going to try this with Evee in the morning

Re: dog chasing cats
10 minutes is definitely not enough. The cat chasing is mostly due to boredom and not enough of exercise. Is there anyway to up the amount of exercise? Can your aunt walk him when he's over? Can you spend longer time on walks? Preferably some form of off leash running? It's not fair to him to not re...

Re: dog chasing cats
Hello, what kind of exercise is he getting daily? Is he left alone at all?
Ari's correct, many dogs have lost an eye due to this behavior. Have you tried timeouts?

Re: Sigh, that was difficult
Think its probably an offshoot of the similar types with the shiny 4x4's that NEED a gundog and it has to be a Weimaraner or a Viszla or a German Wirehaired Pointer... We actually just purchased a shiny 4x4 for Evee [coonhound], she didn't fit in our Saturn S  Poor girl doesn't even have a win...

Sorry to intrude...Evee does the same to my husband. He's a smoker, could it be the scent of cigarettes? Some nights she just won't let him be

100 FT lead would be too much for me. Most of our 'walks' is trailing deer through the woods, we'd be far too tangled!
