We used to own a newfoundland when i was a young child ( aren't they just gorgeous?). If you have ad og this big i assume you have a large yard .Depending what county you are in , (i dont know what your water restrictions are like?) getting the sprinklers to go on every now and used to help our guy....

thanks.. the balcony door is always open ... so they can always go outside, but i understand the concept of not having any motivation if we are not there to reward them. We don't punish for going inside (even though i have to fight my husband for him not to yell at them :) . i don't know how clever ...
