Humping - Compulsive now? was - Adequan?

I posted this question originally about the possible side effect of adequan, being an increase in libido. It has been an extra couple of months now, and George is not an any different. My sweet boy is a humping machine AND he has been completely off adequan for 2 months :( Now, he will be at dog par...

experience with foster dogs?

Hello, I have had a newly rescued dog, Gizmo for a little bit over a month. The initial plan was for her to be a foster. She is really needy, not in a bad way, just can't think of a better word. She was dumped before, out in literally the middle of nowhere to fend for herself. Now, she is very afrai...

Re: Adequan

darn it, it happened again last night :( Does anybody have a natural remedy that would decrease his libido (not sure it is really libido since he is fixed, but not sure what else to call it). Looks literally like something takes him over, like a drug or something. Last night took less than a minute,...

Adequan

Has anybody noticed an increase in sexual exitation/arousal/libido and super high energy level after an adequan injection. George began adequan injections 2 months ago (5 months post-op bilateral MPL surgery) and he has become a total horn dog! He was never a humper, but now any fluffy butt seems to...

night terrors - George

well, my 16 month old mutt George has been through lots since my last post. During a growth spurt, seemingly of just his legs , he started limping and carrying one back leg for a few steps, then within a week couldn't put weight on either back leg for more than a few steps. He would try to run...

DNA is back on Rylie and George :)

Hi everybody!! Happy August! About 2 weeks ago I sent out a DNA test for both Rylie and George, and I got the results today. I was pretty shocked about Rylie and sort of surprised by no min pin in George. So here are the results: Rylie (the all black dog in the photos) 10 lbs, about 11 inches tall O...

Re: My new mutt, shutterfly site, guesses welcome

Thank you everybody for trying to see George in my facebook album. Nobody was able to see, so I opened a shutterfly page.

http://theadventuresofrylieandgeorge.shutterfly.com If you click on the photos/videos tab you will see a folder with George.

Thanks again for all of the ideas, you are amazing!!

My new mutt, pics finally available :)

Hi! In April I adopted a new puppy, actually I was a foster failure, I am so thankful for that!! I am thinking chi/min pin. He is about 6 months old, is 11 inches from floor to shoulder, and weighs 7.6 pounds. In the couple of months since I've had him he has grown about 3 inches taller, but has not...

Decreased appetite?

Hi everybody! Happy summer!! I have 2 dogs, Rylie a 3 yr old chi mix and George a 6 month old chi mix (I think) puppy. They both usually have tremendous appetites eating everything on their plates in under a minute. In the last week, neither one has been wanting to eat very much. They are on a raw d...

Re: Exercise intolerance?

Oh my gosh, thank you both! That makes so much sense. I will let him be the decision maker about his exercise. I have been careful about not going out when it is super hot, but didn't think about it being too much exertion for him. He is my first puppy and he seems to have energy to burn, so I didn'...

Exercise intolerance?

Hello, about 8 weeks ago I adopted a puppy, George, from a local shelter. They estimated his age at approx 3 mos. Since he was cleared after receiving his last shots, we have been going to hike around and play at the park, and then we go to dog park for about 1 1/2 hours each day. This week I starte...

Puppy Vaccination confusion

I adopted a puppy from the shelter in Orange Coutny CA. I was going over the little bit of paperwork they gave me. There are some discrepancies. He is listed as age 3.2 months, and was given a dhpp - bord (they couldn't tell me if it was the one year one or a booster that I would need to repeat in a...

Thrush

Does anybody know if oral thrush can be passed from a human to a dog? I've been searching and can't find anything helpful, mostly get lots of ads about natural cures. Thank you in advance!

Re: my mutt, any ideas?

Thanks Chay!!! Nobody had ever mentioned toy fox terrier before. I am so excited, after reading about toy fox terriers, I am sure she's got quite a lot of this little dog in her. Her personality fits the descriptions almost exactly, and it explains her desire to chase, chase, chase!! Thanks again :)
