Re: Severe Weather Supplies
Thanks, everybody. I'll make sure to gather everything. Thankfully, we have a basement that we can take shelter in. We had 11 people, 3 dogs, and one cat down there with us. Amazingly, our power never went out!

Re: Severe Weather Supplies
Wow, thanks everybody! I hadn't even thought to include most of what is suggested. I wish it was snow that we were getting. This past week we had an EF-3 tornado come through our county. There had been a total of 300 tornado warnings sent out (not sure how many actual tornadoes) and alot of people l...

Severe Weather Supplies
We had some pretty severe weather this past week in my neck of the woods, in light of this I was wondering what you kind people would put into a pet supply kit. Obviously food and water, but what else?

Howdy, This site might help ya some: http://feline-nutrition.org or this one: http://www.rawfedcats.org/practicalguide.htm Heart is a great source for taurine. Re: In Praise of Natural Feeding
If it's ok I just want to add that if anyone feeds bones occasionly to keep the dogs teeth clean then make sure its a MEATY bone. The meat will act as floss between the "toofies."

Re: Bones?
Leg bones are bad? Even the ones they sell at petsmart? Those ones have this fake flavoring in them anyways, I believe. What about pig's ears? Will they clean her teeth? Are they the same as rawhide? Hmm, ya know, I'm not sure. Tell you what though, if you look close to the top of this page, it say...

Re: Bones?
Howdy again, When you search for a raw bone, make sure it is not the weight-bearing bone of a large animal. For example, leg bones, beef knuckles, and bones like that, from say a cow or a deer (and no soup bones!). Chicken quarters would be good. Just make sure that whatever you get is big enough to...

Re: Bones?
Hi there TxPepper :D First off, you don't want to give your dog any kind of cooked bones because during the cooking process the bones will become dry and brittle and sometimes they can splinter when your Luna chews on them. There are some raw feeders here who could guide you on what raw meaty bones ...

Re: Think it is Time to Give Mike Rowe a Call
From all the other jobs I've seen him do, this would be a -pardon the pun- a walk in the park! Haha, you got that right! I am so glad the new season started! :D If he wants to clean up my yard, I'll gladly donate the job -- and the scooper, too! Hehe, and of course he would find a way to make...

Jack Lalanne and the dog diet
Apparently he was ahead of the curve concerning dog health, too! Although 6 pounds of meat seems a little excessive.

I think there is a ring in the front of the webmaster, it is just hidden. have a look, I am sure in the past I have clipped a lead to the front of mine. It is covered by a webbing circle but there must be something where all the straps join up!! Aha! I never thought of that. I'll have to go take a ...

Toys for Strong Chewers....?
I am asking a question for my cousin, who has a boxer/pitt bull mix. They are trying to find toys for him that he won't completely tear up and I told her I would ask ya'll what your opinions were. So what toy suggestions do you have for a stong chewer? He is an uneutered 10 month old male, boxer/pit...
