Re: Kill Shelter question
Bringing this up again because I have sent my state representative a proposal for him to draft a bill to ban gassing of animals in Ohio. I'm waiting for his decision his assistant said he has been reviewing my proposal...so I hope to hear something from him soon. I worry because this is his last ter...

Emaciated rescue
Zoe is an emaciated collie/lab mix she's 12yrs old. I got her from the dog warden on thursday. Vet expects her to make a full recovery. Today I noticed her eyes are sparkling! She has come to life meaning now she is up and into everything. Pulls food off the counter, pulls the trays out of the parro...

Re: Kill Shelter question
I asked a person who works there and they said the dogs sometimes howl when the oxygen starts to fade so it sounds like its the painful kind. I'm taking on the local vet emergency room...long story short one of my rescue pups had parvo and was vomiting blood..I didn't have the type of payment they a...

Kill Shelter question
I guess this is the best area for this question...I've been working with rescue by pulling dogs/puppies from a small high kill shelter. I was just informed they gassed a pit without giving her a chance. There is a lot of uproar over the use of gas by this shelter. Does anyone know much about it...is...

Re: Four adoptions since my last post
Glad to see you back, Ruthie :) I'm also glad to hear that you are still going forward with the rescues. The puppies need you just as badly, and just think of what you can do to give them a good start with hugs and basic training while they are with you. Well done! Thanks...the hardest part is lett...

Four adoptions since my last post
I'm on my fourth puppy adoption since I last posted. New family is coming on Saturday to meet him..but I know they are going to take him. Since being badly bitten I've been focusing on young puppies. I've been working with a high kill tiny rural shelter. People dump puppies in their fence after hour...

Re: Strange neighbors
Dog walkers sound so irresponsible...what if the puppy isn't finished with his shots they could have put him at risk.
I'm the only one in the neighborhood with a fence..so far no one has tried but I'm always outside with the dogs. I guess the family is lucky they didn't take off with the puppy.

Re: Gypsy has been adopted/RETURNED
Turned out her 'roommate' is her dad...the cats are his and he wasn't having the terrorized he said. She is moving into her own place next month she tried to get her dad to wait it out and he said no..she said if Gypsy is still here she wants her back next month. She comes with the best references f...
