Re: Hey, I'm Back :)

No, I think it's more likely that colleges these days, knowing that it costs upwards of the cost of a house to fund a college education, expect parents to be able to afford a plane ticket to tour their college with their student. Like they expect only the wealthy kids are smart enough to get into a...

Re: Hey, I'm Back :)

My daughter is currently in a similar program you're in and she will have her associates degree in May 2014, just before she graduates from high school. She wants to be a veterinarian but have more background in dog/animal behavior as well as in dog/animal training. She's going onward to a four-yea...

Re: Hey, I'm Back :)

17 already? My, how time flies! It seems the last time we heard from you, you were just 13. Yeah, the last time I was active on here was early in my sophomore year! That makes me feel like time goes by really fast, because I can still remember things from back then like they were yest...

Re: Hey, I'm Back :)

Our school district also has where one can take the class and then take a test which, depending on how one scores can count as college credit. My school district is pretty fortunate, since kids can either do Running Start or take dual credit classes at the high school that are worth college credit ...

Re: Helping a Friend With Their Dog

My thoughts as well, Nettle, although naturally the emotional side of the situation makes it tougher for them to see that. Maybe they'll recognize it was just instinct when things calm down a little. This family is just too busy I think. If they really wanted to, they could help him, they have the h...

Helping a Friend With Their Dog

For those of you who remember me, yeah I'm back :) Sorry for leaving for so long, but I never forgot about this website  I always kept it in mind for if I needed help with Buddy, and now I need it for my friend's dog instead (Buddy has been great by the way). If you want to more about what I'v...

Hey, I'm Back :)

It's been a long time since I've been active on this site haha! I think it's been... almost 2 years since I've posted here? Sorry! Lots of stuff going on, so I got out of the habit of checking this place out, and then Buddy has been such a great boy I haven't needed help solving any problems....

Re: Feeling Crummy... Really, Really Crummy...

I made a Thanksgiving card for them. It wasn't anything really extravegant, as I only had a day to put it together, but my mom just about cried reading it. When I figure out how to get this computer working, I'll show pictures of it. I have felt a lot better since making though.

Re: Feeling Crummy... Really, Really Crummy...

I haven't been around here for while since we've been moving, and it seems now I only come on for free therapy. Do you recall Lisa from my previous posts? Her son was killed in a car accident sometime today or yesterday, and I just got the news from my sister. In one year, the following has happened...

Re: Escape!... Into the House?

Could you teach him a different "trigger" to come into the house? I know some people have a few jingle bells they hang from the door to let the dog ring when they want to go out; if you can hear him and let him in when he rings them, it'd be a way for him to ask to come away from the scary things w...

Re: Escape!... Into the House?

The neighbors' horses got into our field yesterday so they came today and got them out. It was raining pretty hard and Buddy was pretty excited watching. The neighbor, Pam came up to the door and opened it to say hi and Buddy tried to get in so I just held him back and then when I tried to get in af...

Re: Feeling Crummy... Really, Really Crummy...

Finally, some good news. Rydel's condition has stabilized and he is now awake and reasonably alert. He has pneumonia now, but he's slowly getting better regardless. Perfectly good news in time for my birthday! :D Tonight at 5 minutes to midnight I will turn 15! :D :D :D :) :) :) 8) 8) 8) :...

Just wait, it gets better (<=Sarcasm). He has now lost enough blood that he is requiring a blood transfusion and they are very worried about him getting pneumonia on top of everything else. His condition has not gotten better throughout the day.

Re: Feeling Crummy... Really, Really Crummy...

We just can't get a break. Just found out today that our cousin Rydel got into a serious motorcycle accident today. He has a broken femur and bruised kidneys among other significant injuries. At least I got to go a friend's party tonight. As long as the bad and the good balance out I figure I'll be ...
