Re: Need advice about pet bed/hip dysplasia

Hi thanks for telling about that brand. I haven't heard of it before. My vet just suggested Iams (in the blue bag) or something she sells called OM. I had never heard of that before either. I will check that brand out and see if anyone around here carries it. Plus, I would go to the ends of the eart...

Need advice about pet bed/hip dysplasia

I need advice about a good pet bed for my dog Jacob. I am not sure which forum this goes in but this seems close enough to the topic. My dog Jacob is a 5 year (in june) hound mix and was dignosed last friday with a mild case of hip dysplasia. The vet wanted to start out with a treatment of diet and ...

Re: pneumonia in my senior dog

thank you...I did call and they said that Jacob should be fine. That Sassy is not contagious. She did say though that she wanted Sassy as quiet as possible and no rough housing which is fine because Sassy makes the big boy cry. I keep a close eye on them anyways because is a little terror towards hi...

Re: GSD Not sitting right

I don't know about the hip thing but I would get his hips checked. The peeing thing though is something my Jacob does (100+ lb hound mix). He is 4 now but he didn't hike his leg until he was 2. He chose to do it on my mom's Christmas igloo. I was so proud (not about the igloo but about his hiking......

pneumonia in my senior dog

My Sassy has had a rough time this past month. She has been in for a couple of infection, allergies and finally the vet and I decided to pull some bad teeth to see if that would help. Today she was diagnosed with pneumonia in one lung. The vet kept her through the day and then sent us home with the ...

Re: Okay...I messed up training somehow

I have taught him "leave it" and he does really well on our walks with that command. He is either a bloodhound or redbone mix so once he catches a scent, it is really hard to get his attention. I found letting him sort of digest the scent for a few minutes and then say "leave it" he will leave it an...

Okay...I messed up training somehow

I have a big 106 pound hound mix and he is so much smarter than me. I work with him a lot so he does good in some areas. There are other areas that I struggle with because I am not sure how to go about training him. The problem I have at the moment is he has learned to flip the trade system around t...

Summer Cookout episode

I watched the summer cookout episode yesterday (7-4-10) and was wondering where she was able to get that kind of tub for Doyle. Does anyone know where one might be able to get that kind of tub for dogs? I have just seen the big heavy duty kind that groomers will get for their business.
