Greetings from New Zealand :)

Hi my name is Nicole, I am a 25yr old kiwi and I have two dogs, Sable and Otis and one cat Griffin. Otis is our eldest at 4, he is a rescue dog (from SPCA) whom they call a mastiff and we call a staffy *grin* He is a beautiful light tan all over with with white feet and a white chest. Fabulous harness (no pull style)

Having read everyone's opinion on harnesses I had a look on the web and found this website http://www.softouchconcepts.com/index.html which I recommend you check out :) If anyone has brought one of these I'd love to hear their opinion as I intend on buying one for each of my (strong) dogs :)

thanks so much for your suggestions :)

Will start working on that tonight. Am so glad you didn't suggest re-homing one as everyone else (who ,naturally, don't have two dogs) keep putting that annoying know-it-all tone on to tell me it (with that false sympathy along the lines of "I don't know why you got two dogs, they're so much wo...

brother and sister fighting

Hi :) My two pups (3-4yrs each *grin*) a staffie male and a huntaway female have great fun playing and usually get along really well. Occasionally they have a scrap (usually over a toy) but they get over it. They often come out of these squabbles with scratches under the chin and on their muzzel and...

Very bad (i.e funny!) pet joke

I have 2 dogs & I was buying a large bag of Purina at Big W and standing in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd ...

Oooh how do you make them yourself? That sounds fun and crafty! Are you able to give instructions (or direct me to a web site that has them) thanks :) And thanks for all the hints on training, I took my two out seperately last night for a 20min training session each and they loved it! They were that...

Hello :) I will check out your pic when I get home from work as the photo is blocked from this computer. I'll see if I can get a pic of my dogs on but if i can't here is a description of Sable She is about the size of a small to medium lab and about as stocky with a mainly black body. She has light ...

My huntaway Sable (farm dog) likes to "herd" our cat. We find her lying across doorways and hallways stopping her from leaving (its meant in a nice way *grin*). When Sable was little our old cat had been convinced that we brought her as a toy for her. Artemis (cat) used to follow Sable aro...

We have taught out dogs to stay out of the kitchen but one of our dogs (hunterway) is quiet and sneaky. We had left a bowl of cooked chicken to cool at the back of the bench and when i came in to cover it up and put it in the fridge i couldn't find it!! She had done it so quietly and neatly that the...

Dog parks

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone has a "proper" dog park in their area? If so I would appreciate any information about it. We are attempting to set one up in our area (will be first in Wellington region) so any info will be very helpful (or suggestions)

Many thanks :)

How do i get my dogs to learn "dog manners"? Help!

Hello :) I am a kiwi fan who watches the show religiously! I have two beautiful dogs. Otis a 3yr old staffie/lab/etc (SPCA special) and Sable a 2, 1/2yr old huntaway/Aussie sheepdog/Lab. Otis is a sweet boy who loves everyone and thinks hes an awesome athelite (he's not). Sable is rather submissive,...
