Re: help!!!!
Hi Loopylou, I'm having a few teething probs with my dog at the mo with barking. She likes to position herself in the front window and bark at passers by, so I know shut the blinds if she does this to stop her. She then has a habit now of running out into the garden barking at what I think is nothin...

Re: Obsessive barking dog
This is interesting as I have a Pug x Beagle and she has recently started the bark bark in the garden at nothingness (althouth, to be honest I'm not too sure whether it is nothing?) I have followed her out to see what she is barking at and she seems to concentrate on either behind the shed, so perha...

Re: Vegetables in a Dogs Diet
Missy has steamed veg, not a huge amount into her food. It just looks more interesting to her! She has 40grams in the morning of kibble and 50grams kibble with a litte veg in the evening. The kibble is meant to make her feel full but anyone would think she hasn't been fed in weeks!! She used t...

Re: Vegetables in a Dogs Diet
Thanks for the reply Bendog! "Veg is really good for filling up a dieting dog so they don't feel hungry" Thats what I thought, or was told a long time ago! and Missy loves her veg. Missy only had a stalk of broccoli mixed in with some carrots but not a huge amount at all. If she has been g...

Vegetables in a Dogs Diet
When browsing the web I came across a list of toxic foods for dogs and one listed was Brocolli in large quantities. As Missy is on a diet currently, I have been mixing some veg into her Kibble so she gets some more satisfaction as she has no treats. She loves veg and often nibbles away on a carrot s...

Re: Spay Op and Overweight
Thanks for the replies. Yes wicket that's what the vets gave me yesterday. She had this a year ago also but they never ordered anymore and after constant battles with the vet, i ended up changing back to JWB until this shock yesterday. Missy always has veg with her kibble and loves this. She never h...

Re: Spay Op and Overweight
Thanks for the reply! Definately going to work on recall as soon as she has recovered! Her recall is much better now than a year ago but I just need the confidence to let her off the lead again. I will use the long line initially though. She is so easily destracted and I think she is more Beagle min...

Spay Op and Overweight
Hi there guys Been a while since I last logged on here. Missy the Puggle was doing so well with her weight loss and I have been so strict with her diet for over a year. She is now 1 year 5 months and today I had her spayed. When I turned up at the vets, the nurse told me that there were slight compl...

Re: Excessive Barking
Thank you for your advice. Missy has regular exercise both physcially and mentally so I do hope the time out method works. No time like the present! Will keep you posted.

Excessive Barking
Missy is just over a year old now (Pug + Beagle Cross), she has 2 walks a day (hour long), and is generally very well behaved. There is one thing I cannot seem to control though and that is her excessive barking. She doesn't bark at random things, its only when she either a) wants attention or b) wh...

Not Happy Today!
I have woken up today, to find Missy going through the contents of my bag that was left on a table on the side of the settee. She is always let into the lounge area when my boyfriend gets up and then leaves to go to work. Normally, she is very good and will cuddle up on the settee and go to sleep un...

She does get distracted very quickly so I'm trying to keep her focus on me especially when other dogs or people come to the field. Thanks for your help guys, will co...
