Re: Summer Cookout episode

I watched the summer cookout episode yesterday (7-4-10) and was wondering where she was able to get that kind of tub for Doyle. Does anyone know where one might be able to get that kind of tub for dogs? I have just seen the big heavy duty kind that groomers will get for their business. To me it loo...

Re: Complete change of personality

She has done a prostrate exam, since he is an intact male. She did indicate that his prostrate glad was mildly enlarged and/or swollen, but she did not think it was anything to worry about. I'm taking him back this week for a check up and will ask for another prostrate exam, together with a complete...

Thanks Mattie. He is due back at the vet for a check of his ears and skin this week. I will ask that they do a complete work up on him.

Complete change of personality

I sure hope the good folks on this board can help me because I'm running out of ideas. My sweet Sammy, a 2 & 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, has recently undergone a complete personality change. He has gone from a happy go lucky, outgoing, loving to be in the middle of everything sweet little dog to one ...

Re: Abby - My beautiful Orange Dog..

Just to let you all know, I might be a bit not with it or maybe a bit short or maybe a bit soppy in the next few days! Abby, my delightful, crazy, beautiful, bonkers saluki x, has come to the end of her reign. Tomorrow afternoon we have the vet booked to come here and let her go to the Rainbow Brid...

Re: Training techniques not repeated on show

I agree that Victoria has changed some of her methods. I saw a US show recently where the dogs had issues when coming in from the backyard when called. She suggested a whistle and a treat when they responded. I have trouble with getting my Shih Tzu Sammy coming in from the backyard when called, beca...

Daddy

I know this is Victoria's board, but we are all dog lovers. Sweet Daddy, the worlds most calm submissive pit bull passed recently. Here's the link to his memorial, http://www.cesarsway.com/news/daddy-memoriam

Re: Potty Patch

Harley is "wee-wee" pad trained. We have hardwood floors, rather than carpet so it's easier cleanup. That might be a solution. I have also seen the Potty Patch commercial and am wondering how good it works. Would love to have some feedback also.

Re: OT - Prayers Needed

Thanks for your prayers everyone. If it turns out that they can't do the surgery because of his heart, I have no problem caring for him if/when he does become blind in that eye. And who knows, he may have had this heart problem all his life. I'm taking him to Birmingham (AL) tomorrow for the ultraso...

OT - Prayers Needed

This is a little off topic, but I desperately need some prayers. As my screen name indicates I am a Mom to 2 Shih Tzus and love the breed. Harley, is my oldest at 7, and is a very insecure submissive guy (hey there's a little on topic ) has been diagnosed with a cateract on his right eye. This is a ...

Re: Victoria vs Ceaser

Momto2ShihTzus, the fact that you are open to discussion shows that you are not a troll, and so far I don't see a reason to take this to private email because I think more people who may be on the fence about the two methods would benefit from hearing what is said here. It's very common for folks t...

Re: Victoria vs Ceaser

Victor refers to herself as a dog trainer, which Cease refers to himself as a dog physologist, or a dog behavorist if you will. You sound, to me, like you love dogs. Read what has been said here, with an open mind. Do what Emmabath said, turn off the sound and watch both shows. You'll see a happy d...

Victoria vs Ceaser

I know there are other links on this topic that are locked, and I do not want to be a flamer or a troll. I would LOVE to see Victoria and Ceaser work together on an episode. I will admit that I've been watching Ceaser longer than Victoria, but they really have some of the same basic techniques. Vict...
