ABC or Karen Pryor...??

Has anyone completed, or known someone who has, courses with either Animal Behavior College or the Karen Pryor Academy?
ABC seems more practical to do and seems more reasonably priced, but I don't know...

I live in rural Northern WI and want to do something like this.....

Re: Podcast Problems?......

Thanks for the advice/suggestions.... My husband reminded me of another problem that it could be. We recently moved from FL to WI to be closer to his parents - we don't have broadband/hi speed internet. We're using their internet which unfortunately has a 'cap' on it or such - apparently you can onl...

Podcast Problems?......

Hi all, I wasn't sure where to post this.... I've been trying to listen to the Podcasts the past couple of days and I don't know whether it's something I'm doing wrong or what.... but the Podcasts don't seem to "finish properly" - they seem to last for maybe 7 - 10 minutes and cut off abru...

Live Tour Updates

Hi :)

Is there a way to set an alert or be notified when Victoria is doing a Live Tour in my area or in a specific area?

Thanks!

Re: Episode 304 - Bad to the Bone (Jan 29)

I quite liked this episode. Victoria has said before that a lot of the time the dogs behavior stems from the owners behavior. If she can't get through to them and help them, she nor them, can in turn help the dog.. I don't think she was trying to counsel them as such. I think she was trying to get t...

Starting up Business...

Hello fellow Positively members... I want to set up my own Pet Sitting business. As of yet I have not come up with a name. I did the Pet Sitting course with Pet Sitters International. I'm looking into doing the American Red Cross Pet CPR course. I'm not sure and hope someone can answer this for me.....

Walking a Large Strong Dog

Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll try here. I walk my friend/neighbor's dog for them when they're working late etc. Not sure exactly what age the dog is but I think around 5yrs. She's a big dog, an Australian Cattle dog. They got her from a shelter, I'm not sure how but I believe she was abused...

Re: Viewer Feedback on It's Me or the Dog

I'm loving the episodes so far :) I really love Victoria's treatment/interaction with the dogs. It sounds funny but sometimes when she suggests things and explains them you sometimes think 'of course'.. how sensible and logical her reasoning is... I especially liked her statement, can't remember whe...

...to get into grooming and more...

At the moment I'm doing Pet Sitters International Pet-Sitting course. I figured it was a good way of getting into learning about professional animal care whilst trying to figure out where to go from there and how to get there. At the moment I don't have a dog. I grew up with dogs and though technica...

Animal Behavior College

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone here has attended the Animal Behavior College or knows someone that has? I'm interested in their Dog Training Course and obviously all things sound good on their website but when I google them I find some negative comments and 'scam' complaints etc.. It could b...

Re: Episode 209 - Weathering the Storm - March 13

Hi Victoria,

Great show as usual!
I was wondering on the subject of squeeky toys, why are some dogs scared and freaked out by them?

Thanks!
