Re: My dog on the lead

Hi Freddie, I have the same problem with my mini schnauzer and I agree, it does make them look aggressive to the passer by  I've used squeaky balls also but I found that it attracted the other dogs and on occasion, made the situation worse - so I stick to treats now. If I see a dog coming towa...

Re: Poo question

Thanks for that Duffy :) I have started to re-introduce a small amount of kibble today along with some white fish and rice and up to now she seems to be fine, so I will continue for the next couple of days at the same amount and then hopefully start to increase it. Thanks again for your help :D

Re: Poo question

Thanks for that Duffy, I think possibly, it is her food. I changed her over to Taste of the Wild around 8 weeks ago and shes done really well on this but did mix wet food as well. My friend recommended Natures Diet, so I moved over to that wet and I admit myself, I didn't take my time switching the ...

Re: Poo question

My little lady is just getting over colitis, she did unfortunately have blood in her poo. Took her to the vets yesterday, she had an antibiotic injection and a weeks worth of tablets. The vet told me to keep her on rice and chicken for abour 4 days, then slowly re-introduce her food a little at her ...

Re: Beagle does not like the act of putting the harness on

Baxtersmom, I think it is the process of something going over the head they dont like as when I try and put it over her head, she goes low, almost flat and tenses - mine clips at the side too and once the clips are done, she shoots around, has a shake, then goes to the back door waiting to go out. W...

Re: Beagle does not like the act of putting the harness on

Baxtersmum, I have the very same problem! The minute she sees it, she runs and hides. I get it on her and shes running to the door waiting to go out. I have tried 2 types up to now and she reacts the same to both. If I just get the lead out and move to the door she comes trotting up waiting for it t...

Re: Keeping her amused

Nettle, the cardboard box idea is fab, she loves nothing more than to shred! Will get some from our supermarket tomorrow. I dont mind her making the mess as long as she has fun. Horace's mum, the more I have read what you have written, the more I think that you are right. She is very attached to me ...

Re: Keeping her amused

About 45 minutes Nettle, its lead walking though as I mentioned in the other post, I'm having trouble with her bolting off and as its dark when I am out, its a bit tricky with the long line so I lead walk in the morning and she goes for an 1 - 1/2 run (on the line) in the afternoon. :)

Keeping her amused

Any ideas of how to keep my mini schnauzer amused in the day whilst I am at work? She has had free roam of the downstairs for the last four months and has been absolutely fine but since returning to work after Christmas, she has started chewing things, shoes and today, my vertical blinds  :rol...

Re: Sparkle

Hi She is adorable. I love natural ears on the mini. thanks :) I will have to put up a picture of my Lexi girl. She doesn't exactly sit still long enough for me to get a really good one tho. good luck with that one, mine is 15 months and it was hard enough to get her to sit still for long
