I tried walking away today and she just followed barking, lol. I can easily stop the barking on the couch, off the couch is a pain. For the first time in forever, she was accident free today. I put her in her crate if she didn't potty outside, and she never had the time for an accident, so yay! I'm ...

She no longer goes in the kitchen. Backing her out and telling her stay works fine, the only time she wants in there is when I am, and I don't let her, so it's better. The same worked for barking on the couch. Removing her for it made her stop doing it, she knows she can't be near me if she does it,...

I have never used a clicker with her, but I think when we are out wednesday I might pick one up. She immediately got the hang of staying out of the kitchen, it amazes me, and gives me hope for everything else, lol

Barking, Pottying, Over excited

I have a few questions about my Quinn, a JRT mix of some sort. She is 4 months old now, and is turning into a terror, which I want to stop now before it is worse. Our first problem is pottying in the house. You have to take her outside and keep her there for an hour before she will do her business. ...

Weekend after next my girl will be staying at a petsitter. We found someone who works at a vets office, and who is willing to deal with her half potty trained tendencies. We are going this weekend to visit her, so Quinn can meet her and make sure all is good before hand. I think all will be well for...

Haha, she is a Jack Russel/Chihuahua and I would love to do something like that with her. I definitely want to do obedience/agility when she gets bigger, and we'll have to see what else! I'm not sure about laws on the number of dogs, but there sure are a lot at that house. I think I'm going to have ...

Proud Momma!

My little girl is 11 weeks today, and she shocks me every day! She has learned to whine at the gate if she has to go out, and ring the bell at the door (When she can get it, before we go out if she couldn't), so almost no accidents (unless I bring her in too soon). Then, today we went for a walk tod...

Quinn loves those little ones, since she an actually carry them around. And, all the different sounds they make. She lays there and just squeaks them. For the flea stuff, there was just so much of it, that even at her shoulder blades, with the hair split, it gets the hair wet too, and it rubbed off ...

Toys and Heartgard

I have two things, one is a question, and one is just cute, lol. First, the question. I used the Heartgard Multi for puppies on Quinn the other day. It didn't have any effects or anything, but I hated how messy it was. She's so little, and the entire little tube had to be used on her, it was all ove...

Ahh, ok. She is 8 and a half weeks, ad (she went to the vet yesterday) 3.4 pounds, so she's tiny, and i'm terrified of hurting her. It amazes me how quickly she adjusts, she will know go all night with out crying. She only whines when she hears the 1 am "lets go potty" alarm, and no o1n2e ...

Walking, running under feet

My "Jack-chi" puppy is amazing me with her intelligence. She pretty much has "sit" "come" "house" "go potty" "come on" (which basically means we're going somewhere else, lol) and is pretty good at "stay," though I am aware she wil...

I wanted to throw in that we always used tide and water in a spray bottle. My mom was a neat freak and we never noticed a scent, and our puppy almost never had accidents.

Haha, I'll post some pics! She is doing really well on the potty training, she had two accidents yesterday, one on the way outside, one in her crate when she was just screaming to get out. I take her hourly, and after she eats or drinks. We play, and she is starting to learn "Come, Quinn."...

Thanks for the reply! That's what my mom said too, that she just decided I'm substitute mom. Is there anything I can do to get her to like her crate more? Her food and water in it, and her toys. But, she still cried the entire time. Someone suggested putting one of my tshirts in it too, so it smells...
