If he is extremely active, he may need more food than stated on the kibble bag.

You should only use tepid water, not hot, since hot water can destroy nutrional properties of the kibble.

Robb, I even noticed if one of my two get 1/2 more food than they regularly do, that they get less firm stools. Seriously, I measure each cup of food with a dry cup measure. I even get their kibble ready the evening before, and cover it with plastic wrap. My husband and kids think I spoil the dogs m...

Robb, it could be that he is still a puppy (my Great Dane is 7 months old and this happens to her sometimes as well). I would say if your dog consistently has loose stools, the food may be too rich or you may be over feeding your dog a little bit.

We brought home our Great Dane in January and bought her a cheap $3 collar from Walmart. I think it was 8" - 14", and it was still too big. Once she outgrew that, I bought a Martingale Lupine collar off of Ebay. They beat the prices that stores or online stores carry them for and they are ...

Kirkland is no longer made with menadione - I checked the label several weeks ago. It is better than Pro Plan though... Personally, my two dogs have been doing great with Chicken Soup, and I like Fromm Gold Nutional as well. I need to get both past the age of two before I can give them a food with a...

Wellness Supermix 5, Wellness Core, Dick Van Patten Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo are several better brands available at Petsmart. However, I find everything at Petsmart overpriced. You would do better if you found a local feed store that carries another brand of food such as Chicken Soup for the Do...

Kirkland's food is made by Diamond. Diamond has different grades of their food, and some are not as good as others. Costco usually carries several differnt typs of dog food and at least one brand of their cat food. Costco's Kirkland has puppy food, kibble for small adult dogs, and their two adult fo...

It's crap..... But, it also comes down to what you can afford, however I believe a quality kibble will keep your dog healthier and cut down on illnesses. A good, quality kibble at a reasonable price is Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. Our local feed store sells it for $37.00 for a 35lb bag. Or...

I had my dogs on Canidae this year, I switched them for the length of a 44 lb bag, about 8 weeks. They would have runny poop.... Now on Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Soul Large Breed, and poop is firm. A 35 lb bag runs about $37 at our local feed store. I also like Fromm Gold Nutrionals Adult, fo...

Fundog, the reason why you cannot beat the cost of O'Roy is because it is such a bad food for your dog.... Sorry, but it is awful. If you would be willing to pm me your personal email address, I can send you information on how to find a better kibble. I'd post it here, but it is too extensive and is...
