Oh, Cheetah, they're beautiful! I have to say my favorite is Eevee on the boulders. She looks so happy and most regal! :D And, of course, Shippo with the big guns is absolutely hysterical!

My story happened when Bjorn was just five months old. At the time, my husband's mom had become very ill with breast cancer and her husband, a scrub nurse, had to work the overnight. Since she absolutely adored my dog, my husband and I volunteered to stay with her in case she needed anything. Now, I...

And he's down for the count!

Yesterday, the unimaginable happened......... I had the day off, which rarely happens, so Bjorn and I did everything together. (I have a no crate rule when I'm not at work. If I have to do something, he comes with.) I noticed in the morning he was especially hard to handle. He was going by the road,...

Has anyone noticed, also, the growing trend in having pit bulls for pets? I personally love the breed and think there's a certain majesty to them. However, I live in a small town with a lot of country. I've noticed lately, at least fifteen new pitbulls in town. Almost all of them owned by young adul...

Buahahahahaha Spydre! I have to say, at least your hubby was lucky enough to have Dodger pounce on his legs! Bjorn tends to jump full force on bellies, though he's been known to miss and hurt some of the boys in my life.

Ok. The oatmeal snack even sounds yummy to me, but the pilchard cake, yuck! That means my dog will definitely love it! Unfortunately, I am by no means a cook. Do you have specific measurements for the cake, Vanheerden? That would be great! Oh I'm so excited.

My dog is infamous for the head tilt. If any strange noises come from the tv, he'll charge it, stop short, and head tilt stare. Then bark. It's hilarious. Somehow, I've even managed to cause them. I only have to stare at him at say head tilt all silly and quizzically and *pop* goes his head. It's us...

I certainly feel your pain scbelle. My dog is learning not to jump, as well. I've had people literally hold him down while he struggled, telling him "Down!" They got a very nice verbal lashing and I had to use all my restraint to stop at that. I am very sorry for your situation but have to...

I see Cracker wrote "frozen PB" in a kong. I usually stuff a hollow bone with PB for my pup before he goes in his crate. It's so cute because as soon as I take it out, he'll go lie in his crate waiting for it. Anyway, I've replaced a lot of those bones because the insides get all porous an...

The pup and I do walk every day. We go for a two-mile walk in the morning before work, and once when I get home from work. I do appreciate the advice from everyone. I honestly wasn't too keen on the underground fencing. I just didn't know what options I had since the landlord said no to an actual fe...

Underground fences......

I rent a house out in the country with about three acres of yard. My dog, being a very hyper breed, gets to run around off-leash with me in the yard. However, he has taken to "marking" the edge of the road where other dogs have been allowed to "mark" while walking by with their o...

That is awesome Pawz! Thank you so much! I tried the heeling in the house like you suggested and it works great! (Especially since my house is designed in an O shape. Bjorn's been excellent with changing directions and keeping up. As for the jumping, I have posted a sign outside of my door. It may s...

The most difficult aspect for me was a differing opinion in training, as well. My ex-husband was a "swatter" and a "pusher". In other words, the dog did bad, he'd give him a swat. The dog jumped up on him, he'd yell and push him away. Keep in mind, he taught him to jump up and wr...

Quite all right, Fundog. :D I just happened to look up the items on Amazon again today and they said they had them in stock. I added them to my shopping list and now they said unavailable. I really do enjoy shopping through them, I just really want my pup to have a new toy soon! :D (It's really sad ...
