Re: Dog Attack Advice Needed
The one thing that came to my mind after reading these postings is what is it going to take for someone to speak up about the dog. A dog getting attacked until it dead or has to be put down because it is so badly injured?!?!? Please do not get me wrong. I do and have always loved animals especially ...

Re: Nightime Barking
My dog, Misty, does this. She hears something in the wetlands area two lots over and goes bananas. I can't see anything, but she is running back and forth full throttle at whatever she is seeing or smelling.

Re: Misty won't come in at night :0(
No, I think your logic is spot on. That is why I walked her last night. She is about 1 1/2 years old and has A LOT of energy (the JRT in her), and I am going to try walking her each night to let her get some of it out. I come home at lunch (12:15) and walk both of my dogs too. Hard to stay out long ...

Re: Misty won't come in at night :0(
Last night Misty gave me trouble coming in after my piano lessons were over, but I decided to ignore her. I showed her her harness and leash and said "let's go walk." She perked up, but would not come in. I laid down the leash and went to do something else. She did come finally come in. I ...

Thanks, Mattie. I will give that a try. She does well during the day (like today when she went out after I walked them.) Sooooo hot here.
That might be something else I try - walking them when I finish teaching piano lessons around 8 pm - tired her out.

Misty won't come in at night :0(
I have had Misty now for over a year. Finally housebroken. She started at 19 pounds and is now 55 pounds. (not overweight). One problem that has developed in the last 6 weeks is she refuses to come in at night. I have a dog door on my back storm door that they can come and go (2 dogs) as they please...

Nope, he said he was going through the same thing with sudden fighting with each other, and once they stopped allowing them on the furniture, it stopped.

Re: House move nightmare - Help needed !
Thanks for posting this question. Just did update on Blackie under Diet, Health thread. Going through the same thing. Trainer coming on Friday to begin work on this now. VERY scary. Happened on my bed last night. Also suggested to stop letting dogs on my furniture and to crate them at night.

Re: One Lesson Learned - F/U on Blackie
Follow-up on Blackie and Misty. Blackie has finished taking her antibiotics for her Lyme Disease dx. Problem still with her occasionally attacking Misty out of nowhere (that I can see). Dog trainer coming on Friday (positive reinforcement trainer) to begin behavior modification. She told me that thi...

Re: Blue Buffalo Recall
I heard about the recall on AnimalRadio on XM last Saturday. They said the plant where the food was made also make vitamin D and they mistakenly made a batch of food after making a batch of the vitamin D hence the problem.

One Lesson Learned - F/U on Blackie
Took Blackie to the vet first thing on Tuesday after rough weekend of her being more hostile to Misty and having diarrhea on and off for a week. Vet checked her out including doing the yearly tests that she was due to have next month while she was there. I haven't liked that after having the heartwo...

Re: Concern about Blackie's Behavior
Thanks. I have a call into my vet now to discuss bringing her in. This was so over the top that I think something is wrong or she does not feel good.
