when he has been training with the halti, i havent walked him with it. i guess he just doesnt like the feel of it. I have used the gentle leader harness, but i guess it hasnt been working because he wasnt trained. Are there other, non expensive harnesses that i can use to train him? (im willing to s...

well, i bought this dog training book and it listed several steps to introduce them to the head collar. 1st it said to click and treat the dog for sniffing the halter. 2nd it said to click and treat the dog for sticking his nose through it. 3rd, when he does it willingly, while hes nibbling at a big...

dog refuses to wear head collar.....
i have read in a variety of places (the forums and dog training books) that head halters (gentle leader's halti) are really great for dogs, instead of collars. I am trying to train my dog to walk with a head halter on, but he refuses to wear it.I have been training him for a few weeks, but no progre...

what should i do? Exercise conflict
I am training my dog to walk on a leash while wearing a halti so he will stop pulling. I have been training him to adjust to wearing it instead of a harness, and its going pretty well. But since i am training him with the halti, what should i use to exercise him with? I have heard/read that dogs nee...

Dog afraid of clicker- help?
I bought a dog training book and i read that clicker training is the most effective way to train a dog. So i tried using the clicker for my dog, but when he hears it, he gets scared of it and tries to walk away, sort of cowering. What can i do to help him so i can still use it for his training?

dog pulls constantly- cant stop- almost desperate
I have a dog, named dusty, medium sized, 35 lbs, we think blueheeler/alaskan husky mix not sure, that pulls alot on walks. We have tried so many harnesses and collars- halti, head collars, "no pull" harnesses, choke chains, etc to try to stop his pulling. He is always at the end of his leash...
