Peeing in crate-WHY?

This board has been very helpful in the past so I'll ask another question that's driving me crazy. My 5.5 month old Mini Aussie Bella is doing really well in her crate these days. She sleeps in there at night with no crying, and I crate her during the day when I go to work in 4-5 hour increments som...

The crate is sized for her full grown weight however it has a divider in it that allows me to make it smaller while she is still a puppy. She doesn't have enough room to pee in one corner and lay in the other though, so I'm not sure why she does this.

She does get a good exercise in before going in the crate usually by wrestling/playing with our other dog however I'd like to work on her training more anyway so I think I might work on a short session before crating her. You all have been very helpf...

Thanks for the initial suggestions, and yes I do put peanut butter into her kong and usually freeze it and then put it in the crate with her. I know that for the most part when I come home mid day to check on her and let her potty she isn't crying or barking but has been chewing on her crate cover o...

Puppy eating stuff while alone

I searched the forum to see if this was answered but didn't find anything similar. I have a 4 month old Australian Shepherd who does great in her crate when we are home. She sleeps in it at night, and when we are home sometimes we crate her in the living room while we are eating dinner or when we ha...
