Re: I need your input on this situation...
Dogs often run off after being hit, it is the self protection instinct, get back to the den, get back to the den. I think you did everything you could to make sure this dog was ok. If the owners did not take the dog to the vet, and I certainly would, then it is on them. I can't imagine 1. Let my dog...

Re: How much exercise?
At this age your giving the dog a good amount of walking and play time. As she/he gets older the length of time can increase. This is a wonderful breed, you get the best of both breeds.

Re: Things that can really hurt your dog
Foxtails can really be a problem if your dog has long hair. Last summer Tre had over 100 in his feet, they migrate into the skin and cause horrible infections. I had to take him to the vet, have all the hair clipped off his feet and the foxtails removed. His poor feet looked like he had road rash. N...

Re: Hi i'm new!!
This breed is known to love it's family, I agree, it's going through a baby stag with the biting. It does not know that it biting to hard yet. I just pulled up your dog, Love this dog. I would also take a look at AKC.org, it will give you information on the breed. You might want to contact a club for this breed to give you some ideas and tips.

Re: Counter surfing puppy
Gina, if he is licking the counters try my method of vinegar, just spray it on. Have you seen the episode where Victoria had the counters cultured of bacteria? the vinegar will not hurt him or anything else, just spray on and let dry, don't wipe it off. My offer is to teach him the "leave it&qu...

Re: Hi i'm new!!
somehow she has gotten the idea that this is the place to wee and poo. I would close the door and not allow her to do that there, go back to toilet training 101. Set a timer and take her outside at regular times, each time waiting how ever long it takes to do what she needs to do. Clean the crate we...
