I will double bag and put in the pocket of my walking jacket, forgot about for about a week! Lesson learned. Couldn't tell where the smell was coming from, PEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUU! And with that, MaiasMom, I would like to thank you for my immediate disinterest in the chocolate doughnuts tempting me f...

Pooper scooper

What type of pooper scoopers do y'all use? I've been just using plastic baggies, but it's really yuck when he poos at the beginning of a walk, and I have to carry a little clear baggie of schnauzer poo for the rest of the hour. Any suggestions? I've been doing some research, but nothing beats person...

Does he have a crate? My dog responded very well to being put in his crate when I left the house for short periods of time. Since they won't urinate in their "dens," he learned to refrain from peeing when we were out for those brief stints (never more than an hour or so). After a short whi...

My miniature schnauzer (as purebred as they come, therefore will an overflowing complement of stubbornness, tenacity, and fixation) had a serious problem with this for a long time. He is completely non-aggressive, but would get tunnel-visioned whenever he saw another dog across the park. He wanted t...

My miniature schnauzer adores vegetables. He goes mad for carrots (his "good boy, you rang the bell to go outside a potty like a big guy!" treat), celery, broccoli, cucumber, etc. He also loves cherry tomatoes, but they make him itch ferociously, so I have to keep an eye out for guests sli...

Science Diet has been a godsend for my miniature schnauzer. He developed severe bladder stones by the time he turned 6 months old, and had to have emergency surgery. After that, we switched his dry food to Science Diet C+D, and continued feeding him 1/2-1 can of organic wet food (usually EVO or Halo...

I imagine it's because she considers it her uniform. Most professionals have a specific outfit or type of clothing that they wear whenever they're in "work" mode. I'm a writer, and there are certain things I wear whenever I sit down to write, just to help put me in the proper "I'm wor...
