Re: Aulie vs hallway - behavior

Yes, same flooring on this first floor. This is the only area that seems to bother him. We have lived in the house 5 years. He didn't begin to have issues with this until about 2 years ago. In the beginning it came and went, so we figured he was just being particular. Now it is constant and has spre...

Re: Aulie vs hallway - behavior

We've tried moving everything - the bin, shoes, coats, anything by the fridge. Anything in the area at all. I can try turning off the fridge a few minutes and see what that does and I will try putting something on the ground. And yes, same flooring throughout the house.

Aulie vs hallway - behavior

Hi guys, My dog is having some problems with a walk through in my house. I thought making a quick video would be the simplest to explain with. Here's the link for youtube. We've been dealing with this for quite some time, it's only getting worse, and it is causing problems throughout the day. Thank ...

Re: Psychological problem?

I dunno! I honestly don't think anything has changed or happened! Same fish tank sitting next to the door that's been there three years. Same dogs barking outside next door. Same younger pup living at home that annoys him and pushes him out of the way to get out.

Psychological problem?

My BC does a few weird things - I think all our dogs do - but his behavior the last couple days concerns me. He is refusing to go out the back door into the yard. Our other pup has no problem and is very excited to go out, but my BC doesn't want to. He shrinks back and retreats to another room. I ca...

Re: Uncontrolled Bladder

Wow! Yea,the vet said it was a pretty big dose when I called today. They didn't say anything about loss of control but I believe it. Hopefully it will be out of her system by the end of the week. My pug a few years back had to be given a steroid and I don't remember him ever having issues with it!

Uncontrolled Bladder

Things are being really strange around my house the last two weeks with my pets. It seems like everybody is getting sick. Weird coincidence or is there something I'm not seeing. Anyway, some background. Zoe - almost 2 year old German Shepherd/Elkhound. Last week we went through the wringer. She had ...

Re: Dog with Attitude

Thank you both for your thoughts. I really love this forum - I've been able to get great help every time! In the past with Aulie I used tiny bits of cheap hot dogs for treats. He really needed it. Had a huge phobia about the car. Someone on here great me great direction and now he happily gets in th...

Re: Dog with Attitude

Here's the video I put together. I uploaded it to youtube. Let me know your thoughts.

While on youtube, I did come across a particular trainer's channel. Very interesting - kikopup.

Re: Dog with Attitude

Thank you for that Ari, I think you are very right. I think she is very perceptive and just doesn't get why she needs to listen. I would have to be in the video to show the behavior lol! She really is sweet and just full of love but this teenager phase is frustrating. I'll see what I can do about a ...

Re: Dog with Attitude

First, to address JudyN's questions: "Could you recap on her history, please, and give a full run-down of her daily routine - feeding, walks, training, play, time alone, etc - plus who else is in your household and how they treat her, what training methods you've been using - and anything else ...

Dog with Attitude

Last I posted, I was concerned about my new dog Zoe eating my chickens. They've pretty much remained in the pen to keep them safe. Anyway, Zoe has SO MUCH attitude I don't know the right way to work with it. I know she hears me and understands what come, sit, stay and all that mean because there are...
