No the vets never seem keen to prescribe anything long term. I suppose I can ask again and see what they suggest.

Thanks JudyN and jacksdad for your replies. Noodle does like some toys but can get possessive about new toys. Food of any kind is always the favoured reward and more valuable than toys. I agree pain is a red flag and she is always more aggressive when in pain. I've had some issues in getting a medic...
