Maybe it's because I try to wrap him in a blanket after baths to keep him warm, but my pup Lukas does the opposite-- he always sleeps after baths! One time, he did get the zoomies though. But he settled down soon to warm up and sleep. My partner's dog, Zack, will energetically roll around in the bed...

Why do you have to interrupt him when he's sleeping? For resource guarding, if you can sometimes interrupt his playing with a toy to take it away for a moment or two, then return it, it might help him start to learn that taking it away can be a positive thing! He'll get it right back, or get a treat...
