On the episode of the black lab puppy, she said that when you go to get the leash and he starts getting to exited, put the leash back and sit down again.
And then when he is relaxed again, go to get the leash and keep doing it until he gets the message.
but its just a suggestion

Re: 23 Pound Agressive Dachshund! Please Help!
Another thing I have noticed about her (it's hard not to) is that she barks. It's not the normal few barks, it's continuous barking. In my house, someone can not even get a foot from each other with out setting her off. Is there a way to make her stop doing this to some extent? Our dog(Daisy) barks...

Or you may not - if neutering stopped sexual behaviour, then why have I got a neutered dog who not only will hump, but will mate and will tie with a ***** if shes willing? At what age did you neuter your dog? Because if you neuter your dog as an adult, it usually makes it worse. Yes, it is true neut...

I think you are doing great! I think he will adjust really well. We once went to someones house to meet a dog that we were thinking of adopting, her name was Charlie. She was so sweet and cute, so we decided to adopt her. But little did we know she was an accident waiting to happen, after awhile she...

How you teach your pup not to play bite is very important Annie, too many corrections by too many people can make the problem worse and can develop into aggression as the dog gets older. It is much easier for an adult to do what is necessary, yelp like a pup and stop the play, that is whatk pups do...

Have you ever watched animal cops? one episode, there were two pitbulls, and there were rabbits locked up in outdoor pens. It was so sad because the pitbulls broke the cages, and killed all the rabbits. But you cannot blame them, because its their instinct to hunt them. But it was so sad  I wou...

Really sorry to do this, but I must disagree with you there. Neutering is not a substitute for training. Un-neutered dogs can be trained as well and often better (depending on when the neutering was done) than neutered ones. The neutering is a completely separate issue. What this dog needs is TRAIN...

We are fostering a nine week old blind yorkie puppy named Kirby, he was scared when he first came here, but I could not blame him because he was taken from his mom, taken from the vet, taken from the yorkie rescue and sent to us all at six weeks old. In some cases, it is how they have been treated i...

Re: My roommate's crazy shih-tsu puppy
In most cases like this, the answer would be to have him neutered. It is very important that he is neutered, it can make all the difference. By the way, is Maya spayed? But I would highly recommend finding a way to have him neutered, it is so important for many reasons such as jumping on Maya and po...

We are currently fostering a nine week old blind yorkie puppy named Kirby, and he bites in a playful way. In the past we also fostered a litter of five chow mix puppies, they bit us also while playing. And one of them jumped and bit at the face too. Usually they are either playing or teething. Accep...
