PLEASE HELP!

Hey, okay I really nervous. We just took our 6 month old cocker spaniel pup out for a walk. I took my football and we played happily until I accidently stood on his front paw :( He started limping immediately and then tried to walk again which ended in him landing on his face and was not able to sta...

Oh yes, again I agree. Not only would it be out of order for an owner to let their dog go up to another (without asking the owner first) but then not recalling the dog when they- A- either realise where its gone- B- have been asked to by the other owner. Mattie's story is a perfect example of what c...

Doggy Competition- How photogenic is your doggy???

Anyone entered their hound into the current photo competition at Pets at home? We took Archie our cocker pup along a few weekes ago, you can order keyrings, mousemats, canvases etc.. His pictures came out great, it was really hard choosing which one to forward into the comp! Have to wait a few weeke...

Also just to clarify (I seem to need to do this alot, I think my comments here are quite vague! Sorry..) When I said *Closer range* I meant in the range of the other dogs radius as it were, not in its face....

Ohh indeed, that would be totally inconsiderate I agree. I meant that If the dog who was off the lead recieved an unprovoked attack from a dog on lead, just because it was fearful of him in closer range then its not really the dog off leads fault... Sorry, hope thats not confusing! :? Appreciate you...

Sorry to hear about the JRT... :( Hope things improve for him, its a shame something like that has to happen. I make it a habit now to ascertain from the owner if their dog is okay with mine, even being wary if they say yes, unless of course its plainly obvious that their dog really friendly. Its s ...

Cheers guys. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude, and it seems that is has came across that way. It would be disrespectful of your time. I just wanted put some things right that Mattie presumed I was doing... Sorry. Also, I was in no way saying that some fearful dogs shouldn't be on a place with free...

Again, I didn't smile nor laugh, as that is classed as encouragement. I realise that how my expressions affect my dog, I am aware. It was a passing thought. I did not encourage him to play rough, which pups do anyway. In reply to your comment "How would you feel if I said to you that as you all...

Mattie... I appreciate your comments. However, firstly, I did NOT encourage him in any way when i used the words "i thought it was sweet". I meant I thought it was sweet in my head. I would never encourage rude behaviours. :!: Second of all, he is only off the lead and allowed to roam free...

Aww, well that is what I thought, but every dog owner I have asked about it has looked at me as if to say "that is one weird dog!"...lol Another thing- as i said he used to be awfully scared of other dogs- but now- well every dog he sees when he is off the lead i.e on the field- he will no...

He attacks me... :( (Continued)

Hey, its me again, with more problems! Well you may have read about my cocker pup constantly trying to bite me while on walks- and I was going to write about how he has gotton so much better... However, he has started to do it again, and I am starting to wonder if he is really an agressive dog. :?: ...

Oh by the way, another thing emmabeth, i can't just walk away from him when he does it as he does it on a field, and it would just result in him taking a chunk out of my backside! Its just not an option unfortunately...its one of those things that is easier said than done im afraid.. Cheers for the ...
