Re: very pleased with Nellie (travel sickness)
Thank you guy4 love that saying "one sallow doesn't make a summer" I'll definitely be taking it slowly. As I don't want to force the issue, think my Poppy was about 4yrs old till she was fine in the car and we took her to the beach aged about 5yrs, but more oftern a 20min journey to the ri...

very pleased with Nellie (travel sickness)
Since the day I got her Nellie has always suffered from travel sickness and nearly always leads to the poor thing vomiting :( she is only 7months old so I'm still hoping she will grow out of it, anyways she then of course absolutely hated going anywhere near a car let alone in one, I have been worki...

Re: A challenge for you all to ponder....
Ooh this sounds fun! Well for what it worth here goes. First off I would teach target training using clicker (you'd adapt) getting him to touch with he's nose Then I'd make up some cards with different coloured shapes on them (I would use cards as you don't really want him to go touching say all blu...

Re: How much does your dog get walked?
Nellie is a 7month old lab x golden retriever, she is a very active playful young girl, if I walk her either on my own or with Mr kat, we have a late morning 35/45 min walk and usually only spends 5 mins of that on the lead....... We take the old bridleway to the park and have a game of ball, if any...

Re: Hello!

Re: how much exercise for a 4 month old pup?
Ahh thanks Suzette that's a great help. :D. I have to admit if I walked it by myself the 45 min one would take me about 15/20 min tops and the 20min walk 7 min tops it is definitely a case of walk a step or sniff for 5mins walk a step etc and being social lol and when off the lead its just more snif...

Re: Wife is at wits end with 3 hyperactive Dogs (URGENT)
Hi there, You've had some excellent replies already and I agree with all of them, exercise is going to be the main thing you want to work on and putting up some baby gates etc. I would personally start using a clicker to help with the training and I would do this on a one to one basis to help put in...

Nellie's socialising
Hello there! I'm new and I thought I'd tell you how my 10week old pup is doing. I'm a believer in getting puppys well socialised now nellie has only had her first primary jabs, I asked my vet if it would be ok to start walking her, I had been taking her out for carries lol and he said that he would ...
