Congratulations! Chocolate Labs are my favorite breed. The one who lives with me actually belongs to my sister. Chocolate was rescued by my uncle from a bad breeder. She had been kept to use for breeding. When they found out she was born infertile, they tied her to a security light pole by their hou...

Welcome Dawn, and welcome to any new members I may have missed.

I'm still working on the "stay" command myself with Tyler. He seems to think if he moves slowly enough I won't notice it. Puppies are such a hoot!

Good luck on your training!

Now they chase each other through the house. They never wrestle or get rough, just run everywhere. It is hilariou...

He will only eat dry cat food, fruits and vegetables. I've always heard that citrus smells made cats nautious, but he ...

Hydrogen Peroxide, the kind you buy to clean cuts. It removes pet stains without discoloring the carpet.

Confidence Building

I have a nine week old miniature daschund puppy, Tyler, who is scared of everything. He is the runt and was bullied by his siblings a great deal. He was with his mother, a brother, and a sister until last Friday. He and his sister were supposed to be kept by my sister, and he belongs to my nephew. T...

I'm wondering, does she ignore the commands when she is farther away from you? At 7, she is becoming a senior citizen. It could be that it's getting harder for her to see and hear over the distances she used to. Physical changes that come with age can also contribute to behavior changes. Old people ...
