Re: Searching for safe bully stick alternatives...

Hi Judy. Thanks, but nope, she won't go near the nylon chews (and I'm not a huge fan of them myself) and she will gnaw on an antler half-heartedly for about two minutes then ignore it. I buy from Best Bully Sticks and see that they have lamb trachea's that might be a good choice for her. Anyone have...

Searching for safe bully stick alternatives...

I just found out my dog Piper has an allergic skin reaction to beef products. This means no more of her much loved bully sticks. :( Any other treats you guys would recommend that aren't in the bovine family and would be safe for her to have some quality chewing/gnawing time with? (She is a twenty po...

Re: Caution About Essential Oil Diffusers

I am also a certified aromatherapist and in the process of getting my animal aromatherapy certification. While some company's oils are not pure, many are and are used in diffusers. Cat's especially should not be diffused around. They lack the liver enzyme necessary to break down the oils so a toxici...

Re: It's quiet in here !

It is extremely important to note that the group using the multiple parentheses is a radical fringe group that is actually called alternative right, not to be confused with others who are simply on the Right. I would never, ever want anyone to confuse me or anyone else I know on the right with one o...

All the best in your new home! I just saw a tutorial the other day for making a cooling mat for dogs. If you're interested, you could Google it. :)

Re: Could you do it?

I personally don't put boundaries or parameters on love. If a dog is meant for me, it doesn't matter if it has a short or long lifespan or if it is young or old to begin with. I will love it for as long as I am given and be happy for the time spent together. Plus, even a long-lived breed can die you...

Re: What will your next dog be?

Another pembroke corgi would be my breed of choice if I was going to go that route again. I just adore corgi's for their intelligence, their loyalty, and their sass! But... I have put a lot of thought into this over the last year or so and I know that some day far off in the future, once my sweet Pi...

Re: What are you and your dogs up to today? Part 2

When my dog gets a hot spot (she's a pembroke corgi), I use the blow up donut collar to keep her from being able to lick it. I personally cannot stand the cones and won't use them on my dog (personal preference, not a judgement on those who do choose to use them). The donut collar works great and do...
