Thanks guys, today went well feeling possitive :D i will try the voice of doom :D next time i see a dog off lead that doesnt listen to their owner, when he doesnt listen to me ive been asking him to lay down for his treat and this is double effective so its all good right now :D smiles all round!!!

~Had another set back today again with another dog off lead that didnt listen when called. Grrr! i disagree with the comment that boxers shouldnt be around small children i am only 19 but my mum has owned boxers since i was very very small and we were just fine :D
With the right training a boxer is a brilliant dog around kids. Good Luck :D

I have decided to continue on my own and persist with him. I think i need to deal with his problem on my own and help him get over this. I wake up so possitive then see him getting excited about going out then my possitivity goes!!! I need to work on myself aswell by the sounds of it! Thanks everyon...

Ive just spoken to the rescue home i got him from and the lady that owns it is a professional trainer and she has offered to take him in for a few days asess him personally then suggest ways to help - she also runs a group i could attend. I wouldnt like leaving him back in kennels for a few days but...

i understand everything you are saying i have read many articles and books about dogs and their behaviour.
