Trouble Getting Dog Into The Car
I'm back for more advice, since I always find the best tips here. Gordie, our 7 month old Belgian. Weighs 66lbs already and stand 25" high. When we first got him I took him everywhere with me and he was becoming very well socialized. Once he started to get big for me to lift I started just walk...

Re: Dog is a dangerous Scavenger
So much for the tin cans.........my crazy dog knocked those down and had a blast playing with them from one end of the house to another!!!! He definatly is not sound phobic to anything. Start a chain saw up and he will run toward the noise not away from it. Today the carpenter is coming to build me ...

Re: Dog is a dangerous Scavenger
Finally got the computer fixed so I can respond to your post. First let me state my home is VERY clean with two dogs and three daughters, and a three cats you'd never know if you visited. My biggest issue with things left out is my girls are very bad about it. More about how I fixed that........... ...

Dog is a dangerous Scavenger
Greetings all, it's been a bit since I've logged in. Seems I have a Dangerous Scavenger for a 7 month old puppy. Our wonderful Belgian Gordie has developed a very bad habit of snatching any food left on the counters, trash, a plate left out. Even if there isn't any food on the plate he will knock it...

Re: To show or not???
Thank you all! You have given me a lot to think about. I am leaning heavy on NOT studding, it seems like a bigger hassle than I want to deal with. Not sure about showing him I will have to decide after I go to a few shows and see what they are like.
Again thank you for all the information.

Re: Belgian Shepard/ Sheepdog
Dawnstorm..........Gordie is the only Belgian in our entire county, at least that is licensenced and the only one at our vets office. I looked into resuces before we finally found a breeder, but at the time they didn't have any available. I love my Belgian he is sooooooo smart.

Re: To show or not???
Second time I am writing this reply. ugh...... Thank you all so much for the feedback. Here is a little more background. Gordie was purchased as a "show quality" puppy. The breeder I bought him from has a wonderful reputation in the Belgian Community. Gordie was temperant tested, the breed...

To show or not???
First I will apologize if I didn't post this question in the correct thread. Secondly I didn't purchase my Belgian with the intention of showing him. He was brought into our family to be our pet and a much loved memeber of our family. I have thought about showing him more and more lately as he comes...

Re: I am devastated and need help.
Let me know how it works for you. I have had HUGE success with the Cat version to stop my male cat from peeing on things and it brought down his anxiety. Same with my puppy. I know a friend that used it for her dogs, she had 3, and the older one became very anxious when she brought the new puppies h...

Re: I am devastated and need help.
Invest in a Comfort Zone plug in. They run about 35 but the refills are usually around 15 and last from 4 to 5 weeks. If Layla is showing signs of stress this should help her greatly as well as help the pups. I love this product for both dogs and cats. I've had great success. I used it when we broug...

Re: Belgian Shepard/ Sheepdog
Gordie does the same thing when we have him running with Emma. Even on the golf course if he is riding in the cart with us and Emma runs into the woods out of sight, Gordie will bark until we let him off the cart so he can go look for her. Possibly part of their herding heritage coming thru.

Re: Getting in the trash
OOOPPSS forgot to take our trash out the other day and left the lid up. I left Gordie alone for 15 minutes in the kitchen while a neighbor chatted in the yard. The next day, he was acting different and being listless.......trip to the vet and he was on the verge of a very serious bacterial infection...

I'm guessing lap by the muzzle but a had to have been a lab mix, and I do see begal. She is a beauty! I once adopted a domberman / schnauzer puppy! It looked like a baby deer with long hair on it's face. And your Belgian is Gorgeous love the way she looks like she's posing in pictures. Gordie is the...

Re: Belgian Shepard/ Sheepdog
I am loving finding other Belgian lovers! This breed is very under talked about. I consider Gordie one of the best dogs I've owned. Don't get me wrong I've had several breeds and loved them all. But I feel that Belgians bond differently than other breeds or is that just me LOL Horza your girl is bea...
