Re: shock collar
Hi, i don´t know if by now you already did something, but in my experience it helps that instead of criticize the method of another person you tell her that it´s a better way and give some solutions. For example: Here´s the phone of an excelent dog trainer that can help you with your dogs problems, ...

Re: unmotivated dog
Thank´s for the response. First, we where taking the dog away every time there´s something that distract her, even before the dog sees it, it works for not paying attention to that, but she still doesn´t pay very much attention to the owner. Something i forget to tell you: The owner didn´t take the ...

Re: horrible dog trainer
By the way, for the one´s that don´t speak spanish, it´s sais that he is calming the dog and showing him who is the alpha. That is a technique use by ethologist. That the trainer is submiting the dog and became the alpha because is what wolfs do. The dog behind the door stop beeing a negative stimul...

Re: horrible dog trainer
I don't read, speak, write Spanish, so I am not sure other than confirming that yes he is doing it all wrong how I can help you. he is very clearly stressing out the dog and missing some very critical signals from the dog. That is NOT the way to address "aggressive" dogs. Doesn´t matter, ...

Re: random aggression issue
I recomend you to do a hypotiroidism test in your vet (blood test where the vet examin the tyroids hormones) This could be an organic reason for what is happening that. I´m not saying that is not a behavior issue, but could be an organic reason also. If it isn´t no damage done.... if it is you can t...

Re: I would like your opinion...
Sadly there are people than only think $$$ This dogs are nothing more. Luckily the puppyes are fine, the substitute mom is taking excellent care of them. The thing that is making me think that was stress is that, when they leave her to take the 2 puppyes that had born to the substitute mom, she gave...

Re: I would like your opinion...
I have had a lot of involvement in dog breeding, and even though I don't breed any more, I tend to be the first port of call when other people I know breed (I have just spent the afternoon getting a b itch mated at the fourth attempt). I have very occasionally known a b itch kill her pups at birth....

It may be that he doesnt know how to initiate play, OR he doesnt know what to do if he tries to say 'hey lets play' and the other dog doe...
