Hello! My name is Elizabeth Emelene Jefferis. I specialize in starting out new puppies and helping dogs with behavioral challenges, like reactivity and fear. I grew up on training hunter jumper horses on our family farm in southeastern Pennsylvania. I’ve lived in New York, Los Angeles, and now I’ve settled with my husband and daughter in Chicago with our menagerie of pets. I’m a member of Indiana’s Porter County Search & Rescue team as a K9 Handler, searching for lost persons, e.g., dementia/Alzheimer elderly and non-verbal/autistic children, etc. My K9 and I are also listed resources for Indiana’s Dept. of Homeland Security Search & Rescue. I have advanced degrees from University of Chicago in human-animal interaction and I enjoy continuing education in animal training. I spent several years as a sociology lecturer in higher educational, as well as teaching yoga! When not training dogs, I rehab and manage our rental properties and multiple gardens here in Woodlawn, Chicago.
