Kaci has lengthy professional experience volunteering, assisting, and teaching group classes with Every Dog Austin and multiple years of experience providing dog-sitting services. She began Charming Buddies Dog Training after completing her VSA-CDT certification in 2023. Kaci thrives in helping pet parents celebrate all of the tiny victories and knowing that their dogs thrive in the patience and care they provide.

She started studying behavior after adopting her dog, Buddy, and seeking certified help with his journey through reactivity, isolation anxiety, and more. Positive science-based training became her passion after seeing how Buddy’s quality of life had been impacted. Kaci finds that her ongoing interest in children's literature and early childhood development often directly coincides with her passion for canine cognition.

In her spare time, she co-hosts a Magic School Bus watch-along podcast and advocates for her fellow LGBTQ+ community members and other people living with Type 1 Diabetes and other "invisible" disabilities. Click below for a quick cue demo video for a sample of my teaching style!
