I trained under Carrie D for a while before deciding that being a dog trainer was what I wanted to do with my life moving forward. I came from a life of being a professional chef with my certification and diploma in culinary arts. That life became too much for me mentally so after 10 years I retired my whites and knives for dog treats and a clicker!
I studied dog behaviour and such through the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Trainers and that was such an eye opening experience from how I was taught to train dogs growing up! I've never been a fan of choke chains or shock/bark collars and after learning more about these items through my schooling I am proud to say I will never put one on any dog that I own or that I work with.
I have a 5 year old Maine Coon Mix named Everest, he is my baby and my first pet as an adult. He became the older brother to my rescue mix Poppy a year ago. Poppy is my special girl, she is blind in one eye and is going blind in her other due to cataracts developing due to a birth defect. I have her on medication to help her eyes and I also have her on medication to help with her anxiety! She has been the best thing I have done for myself in almost a year and I couldn't be happier with who she is and how well she has settled into my life!
I am also a certified Fear-Free Daycare and Boarding Attendant, certified through Fear Free Pets.
Animals have always been a big passion of mine and I cannot wait to continue to help you and your furbabies navigate this strange and sometimes scary world!
