Although I’ve owned many dogs over the years, and had a small dog sitting business, I didn’t become a qualified dog trainer until later in life.  I took the Victoria Stilwell Academy free Fundamentals course out of casual interest.  After completing that, I was inspired to learn more, so I went on to complete the online Certificate of Dog Behaviour and Training.

While studying, I found my new passion - “dealing and working with dogs, whilst helping people.”

I worked closely with my Faculty Advisor: Mark Ehrman VSPDT. He led me on my journey of discovering the world of professional dog training. I realised that this is what I want to do for the rest of my working life.

My focus is in a different area of training to Mark - family dogs are what make me tick. I emphasise teaching family dogs good manners and engaging safely with the whole family. I believe dog training is teaching much more than walking or visiting the local dog park. Importantly, I want to grow the human/dog relationship and help you enjoy life together with your dog as an integral part of the family unit.

It's important to me to continue my education with a variety of reputable trainers from different corners of the world using up to date positive and science-based methods. I have also studied the Puppy Lab with the School of Canine Science. I continue to learn and grow as a trainer, and have a constant backlog of seminars and courses to complete.

Understanding how old dogs can learn new behaviours has led me to focus on pet dogs in the home and my community.
I am currently offering Puppy School in two vet practitioners in Waverley and North Sydney.

I offer in-home private consultations involving one-off visits and ongoing support. I cover getting started at home with your puppy, addressing single problem behaviour issues you want to conquer, and continued learning. As we all know puppy school is only the beginning.
