Jennie is a licensed interior designer, earning her degree from the University of the Philippines. For 10 years, she worked as a Production Designer in the advertising industry. But her passion for animal care was overwhelming so she transitioned to her current career.

She is a Dog Behavior Specialist with certification from the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training and Behavior in Georgia, USA. In 2010, she established Pup Culture, a dog enrichment center that served the communities in Bonifacio Global City and Eastwood City in the Philippines. Similarly, in 2016, she co-founded PlayBow Services Inc. in Makati City. The facilities offered boarding, day camp, grooming, and training services for dogs.

Jennie and her dogs are volunteers of CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals) Welfare Philippines. They assist in the rehabilitation of rescued dogs to strengthen their chances for adoption. The dogs Jennie trains for CARA are mostly rescued aspins (asong pinoy) or mixed breed dogs. She also focused on training pit bulls who were rescued in 2012 from a dog fighting syndicate. Together with other volunteers, they have successfully been able to turn over the dogs to loving homes in the Philippines and other countries.

Jennie and her dogs are also volunteers of PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society). Her dogs are certified therapy dogs under the Dr. Dogs program of Animals of Asia Hongkong in collaboration with PAWS. They go to institutions like hospitals, orphanages and homes for the elderly to facilitate therapy sessions with the dogs for people in need of love and hope.

Furthering her crusade, Jennie and her dogs give talks to school children on basic dog care, responsible dog ownership, and bite prevention. In return, their schools would give donations to either CARA or PAWS.

Jennie also supports Hound Haven Philippines, an organization that cares for retired working canines from the Armed Forces of the Philippines. After their tour of duty, these dogs are cared for to ensure that their physical and mental health still make them candidates for adoption. Jennie trains Hound Haven’s staff on dog handling and behavioral issue management. Currently, Jennie is a private dog trainer to many homes in her city.
