Cynthia started training with horses many years ago, and found that force-free, fear-free methods worked better than the more "traditional" methods of the time.  She began to study Tellington TTouch and found that it worked hand-in-hand with the humane methods of training she had already been employing.  From there, she decided to work towards earning a certification with the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and ultimately became one of only a handful of Victoria Stilwell's Positively Dog Trainers.  She is also a Charter Member of the Pet Professional Guild, and a CGC Examiner for AKC.

Cynthia has volunteered extensively with local rescues and shelters, teaches group classes, and even trains service dogs.  She has been a mentor/trainer to numerous students of positive-reinforcement training, and enjoys working with people as much as with dogs. 

She currently has three dogs of her own, ranging in size from 4 pounds to 130 pounds.
