Lucy Bennett

Lucy is a writer and editor with a background in design and fine art, having received her B.F.A. in Design from Georgia Southern University. Currently, she is a partner at Campfire Collective, a design and marketing group specializing in helping entrepreneurs, non-profits, and other creative businesses build a better online presence.

Lucy rescued her first dog, an American Bulldog mix she named Topher, from Dekalb Animal Services in 2013. Since then, she has been immersed in the pet community. This love for all things dog-related led to partnering with her long time friend and colleague Ivana Pen to co-found Good Dogs & Co., an online resource made for dog owners, by dog owners. The mission of Good Dogs & Co. is to bring the pet community closer together by sharing stories and knowledge from the industry as well as from dog owners themselves.

After an attack by two stray dogs left Topher blind in one eye, Lucy is dedicated to sharing the story of Topher's recovery, and helping him overcome his dog reactivity through training, one day at a time. While their main goal is to help Topher's reactivity and anxiety, Lucy hopes they can take the road to recovery even farther, and one day Topher can become a Canine Good Citizen.

Lucy is a native of Atlanta, where she lives with her husband, two cats, and their dog.
